Popular Post MaVilla
Mings has done amazing overall tbh since he joined us. Just think: Jan 2019 he joins us on loan after recovering from a major injury. Had only played 15 games in the 2 years prior to joining us. Came straight in at CB. We get promoted, Mings being a core part of the team that helped us gain promotion. We sign Mings for 20m + add-ons, and most Bournemouth fans shout about how we got fleeced and they didnt need Mings as he wasnt good enough for their first 11 (although many liked him and sent him best wishes) Wins first call up for England. Helps keep Villa in the Prem, Bournmouth (who thought he wasnt good enough for them) get relegated. gets second call up for England. part of the core Villa team to lead us in to the 20/21 season. All in 19 months....... Amazing tbh. Edited September 2, 2020 by MaVilla

I would sack him off and bring in the Cowley Brothers.

He is too big to be playing there these days. I was thinking along similar injury worry lines...the greater amount of running he'd be doing and the more likely he is to be doing slide tackles would be a big concern. His injuries always seem to stem from a slide tackle going wrong.

Wainy316
Fully expect he'll start tomorrow looking at the other CB options in the squad.

Aside from the options for the front 3 it looks like an incredibly terrible selection of players to pick from. villalad21
Many clubs use only right footed centre backs and it's unproblematic.
JPAngel Posted September 12, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2020 (edited) Part of the problem was having a right-footed right back at left back next to these centre backs. Edited September 12, 2020 by JPAngel
villalad21
Problem isn't right footed or left footed centre backs. Problem is they are average players.
Popular Post KevinRichardsonsMoustache
Powerful interview in the Times with Tyrone today. Inspired me to watch some interviews with him online. He speaks with such clarity and has such laser focus. He’s a superb advocate for the club and uses his platform to discuss bigger, and frankly more important, things. I think Ty’s ceiling as a prominent public figure after his career, might be higher than his ceiling as a football player.

MotoMkali
Should be 40. H would be iconic with that number but with 5 he would always be behind McGrath and laursen when it comes to Villa greats. Should make the number 40 his own.
