What a bargain signing he was, Why did wolves let him go so cheap lol One of the best? IIRC his stats have shown that he is the best in the air. He still gives away silly fouls, looks uncomfortable on the ball and gave away the pen. He played well but I think Axel is a better defender. How very dare you. If you're talking about aerial win percentage, he's one of the best but there's a couple about his level or a bit better. Last season, Maguire recorded about the same level and he's been involved in a lot more duels. Rhys Williams was involved in less duels than Hause but recorded a higher percentage. But he had a higher percentage than everyone else last season
foreveryoung
Wonder what he said to Rat boy after he missed the penalty. Looked like, he (CR7) should have took it.
Delphinho123
One thing I will say is, you can’t keep dropping him after he puts in a good performance. He’s going to want to leave if we do that. Time and time again, he comes in, plays excellently, and is then immediately dropped. Personally, I think he keeps his place in the 3 if we persist with this formation. He’s not as quick or as good with the ball as Tuanzebe but he’s stronger and better in the air. I guess you could play either or depending on opposition but he’s not going to sign a contract if he keeps being benched.

I do agree both Axel and Hause are different players and offer different things, Hause is as strong as a house, prodigal in the air and ok-ish in terms of speed and ball control, where Tuanzebe is poor in the air, good on the ball but absolutely rapid and can recover position or chase players down much more easily. Both are very much different players for different scenarios.

Sulberto21
Against Liverscum I'd definitely want Tuanzebe in there. Whereas against Harry Kane I'd want Big Korts putting him in his pocket. I'm happy with the 4 CB's we have. But Konsa and Mings are definitely the top 2 atm. They all work well together.

Its easier to compare left vs right to be fair We have the big man and quick man combo sorted . 2 big left footers in Mings and Hause that would head their grannies away if they were in the box 2 fast right footers that show a bit of class and pace when needed. Even in the youth set up its the big man Feeney /Swinkels on the left and the fast more cultured Bogarde on the right of central defence. Its like there is joined up thinking going on isnt it . The kind of joined up thinking that doesnt mean you blow 50 million on Ben White and then realise he isnt a great fit with your otjer players in a centre back partnership

I saw a miscellaneous stats website from last season and can't find it where Hause was at about 80%. Also for 19-20 season where he was at 80.2% but on Fbref says it is 73.7%. But bloody hell Hause contested about 8-9 aerial duels a game last season. I assume the difference is from determining what counts as an aerial duel or not. It also sends the wrong message to players who come in and play a blinder then lose their place. Treat them fairly you have no problem with the squad start messing around like that you create problems

VillaChris
DS rarely changes the 11 about a fantastic win so think it will be unchanged for next weekend bar any more injuries. Ramsey may be a doubt I guess although he didn't come off did he?
