This would be my lineup - El Ghazi has played 1 decent game so far and the rest have been complete toilet.

Adomah not been great either but still better option imo.

Bree looking ok last few games would like to see him get more game time to develop further.

Id also like to see Ohare and Davis on the bench.

We are capable of scoring goals here and blitzing them (Not that we will of course), in which case this would be one of the better games to give them more 1st team exposure.

Wigan in terrible form and on paper it should be a win for us - so in pure Villa form I expect disappointment today. Desperately need to win though.

I've just had a look at the fixtures this weekend, and quite unbelievably, EIGHT of the 9 teams above us are playing against each other.  Only Forest face someone outside the top 9.

To say this is a significant weekend for us is an understatement when; at a minimum; at least 4 sides above us WILL be dropping points, and depending on draws, every one of them could be.

Leeds v Derby (1 v 6)
Sheff Utd v QPR (3 v 9)
WBA v Norwich (4 v 2)
sha v Boro (8 v 5)
Forest @ Reading (7 v 23)

Been saying this for a while. Doesn't matter who wins these as one or other cant pull away from us. BUT we have to win ours. Next few weeks are the same

Mathematically I don't think we NEED a win, but mentally I think we do.

A comfortable clean sheet and a solid performance from the back four especially would do us the world of good.

Heard a peep that Kodjia is out injured

2 years ago that would have been a disaster!

Bree now preferred right back by the looks of things and Bjarnason getting the nod in midfield over Whelan.

Kodjia as mentioned is missing.

I like this front three.

A lot rests on Thor having a good game, we should have enough to do this lot. Clean sheet would be great.
