he's 21, played 21 games in english football mainly as a sub and scored 1 goal

they're paying for his potential and for what he has done for england at yoof level, you would like to think after ibe they would be a bit more wary of it

All anyone is ever paying for is the potential that a player comes good for them. £19m for Solanke - in a current football market that sees players regularly move for £50m+ isn’t that insane at all. Certainly better value than McCormack at £12m.

So Pulisic to Chelsea for £60m the first big one (although he'll stay at Dortmund til the summer)

Perhaps not worth the money from a footballing aspect quite yet, but from a marketing aspect it's a smashing deal.

Have to look at the marketing potential of Pulisic for Chelsea, though.  He's possibly the best American player of all time and will sell a lot of shirts/create a lot of Chelsea fans over here.  Fulham has a fairly big following in the USA just because of the former American nationals who played for them over the years (McBride, Dempsey, Bocanegra, Ream, etc.).  Pulisic can possibly be the first true "superstar" we've ever had.  Has a lot of work to do still, but he is a talent.

Dembele from Spurs to some Chinese team for 9 million!? I think this bloke is quality why so cheap is it his injury record!?  We should sign him for that price obviously we can't afford him or the astronomical wages he will get but still 9 million!!?

Defo one for the 'Games Gone' thread.

Think it's because he is out of contract in the summer.

He's a funny one Pavard, I've seen him have plenty of average matches where he'd hardly stand out in our team.

World Cup helped him a lot.

And also being 22! Blimey, didn't know he was that young. Fee makes a bit more sense now.

with kimmich already there they must be thinking of playing him at CB

barca sign murillo on loan with an option to buy and toulouse CB todibo

and the obvious best young CB in europe right now de ligt is still at ajax...someone very big is going north of £40m for him in the summer (barca are being heavily linked with frenkie de jong though who will also move in the summer for a big fee)

Kimmich is moving back to his old midfield role. Has played there a bit this season

Gueye linked with a move to PSG for £40M

Good player that Tim horribly mismanaged, but he is not PSG quality. If he will be used as a rotation player, then yes good pick up but not for that fee.

Sherwood played him in nearly every game in centre midfield. Hard say he mismanaged him

I guess as a whole our team was horribly mismanaged.

Westwood-Gueye-Grealish should have been fine in the premier league.

not sure if mismanaged is the right way to say they simply didnt give a **** largely because the man at the top didnt give a ****

messi and ronaldo couldnt have saved us at that point

they were always good players just thrown in to a horrible rotten football club

Aston villa legend Simon Dawkins could be off to Ipswich after a spell in the mls.

Watch him score the winner against us...or do absolutely nothing.
