Until we fix this dreadful defence we aren't getting promoted and it's probably for the best, we would be eaten alive in the Premier League. The whole thing felt inevitable

And not taking our chances at the other end.

We have been cursed with a passive subconscious desire to throw away winning positions since Lambert. It was an inevitable winner.

Maybe even before. Who was manager when Macheda scored the hattrick? Or the 2-2 with Bruce when Stern John scored in the last minute. There's something really unfortunate about the club. I thought it was Gabby.

To me it's all about that defense. We straight up gifted them 2 goals. The players at the back are not doing their jobs and it's hurting this whole team.

So then we should of packed the midfield, our dodgy defence was exposed time after time and didn't get enough protection!

This is true. We know our defense is bad, and yet we let them run the game and attack time after time. We didn't have a midfield today.

Totally robbed. Where did 5 minutes injury time come from in the 2nd half. That game has potentially cost us automatic promotion. Even SHA are above us ffs!

We weren’t robbed - we gave it away

Defenders seem to have no idea how to do their jobs, and Hutton doesn't even seem to know what his job is.

The one positive from this game is that we will definitely get a new defence in the very near future. If Smith and co thought they could get away with just a new keeper and CB cover, then they've been faced with the stark reality just in the nick of time!

Architects of our own demise.

A real shame that we allowed them to get back in it, whereas the first half was reasonably equal in terms of threat.

Given the lack of Grealish and a horribly make shift defence, we did well to compete. Leeds are a very decent side.

Said in the week, a loss wouldn't be the end of the world and it won't. We are about to take on some lesser teams now, so should start climbing.

Inviting pressure with that back four and Nyland would not have helped. We should have kept the ball better, there was our mistake. With Grealish, we win that game.

We invited it anyway. Without defensive help.

I agree Grealish would possibly have won us this game, and the previous one.

Right backat left back, Right back at centre half. Best player out. A lot of teams would struggle with that outfit. We’re not going to get promoted. Smith needs time to mould this side with some of his own players and preferably some defenders.
