Popular Post Keener window-cleaner
Many thanks to our owners, ceo and everyone part of this sensible and wonderful decision! Finally a manager with an idea of how to play, who works on the training pitch to implement a style of play, who plays a passing style, who emphasises attacking football even when you need to adjust to the opponents. A manager who knows the league and the opponents in and out. Who knows what it is to manage and deal with players. On top of all that, is Villa through and through, with a fahter who worked as a steward for 25 years and who used to clean the steps at the Holte himself. This is just wonderful! I have never been as excited about a manager before. It is the perfect fit and I hope he will be given all time and patience he needs.

Just hope terry can keep players in line for him Onviously has my full support though. Glad Terry is there, none of our players can look down on him, Smith not big enough on his own. I have my doubts, but am fully behind them!!

Jareth
Really happy for DS - boyhood Villa fan gets to manage the club, at a point in his management career where he is truly capable of excelling into something special. It is fate, and I am sure he will not let us down. Plus he has the third richest owners in English football behind him. I see good things ahead. Feels right.
7392craig
Must admit I’m a bit underwhelmed after the names we’ve been hearing. I’m also not sure whether it’s the right decision. But he’ll get my backing just as previous managers did. Let’s hope he can save us, because I feel we’re on the brink of becoming the next Leeds. Welcome Dean. Agreed - Heed that warning from Simon Jordan - we could disappear as a big club if this appointment doesn't work out. Hes a Villa fan, has Terry to organise the defense - and on paper we have a forwards in abundance.
OutByEaster? Posted October 10, 2018 Moderator Share Posted October 10, 2018 Great Barr boy in charge of the Villa. He's got that going for him at least. The statement welcomes him and his staff which will be interesting. Terry's role will be important too I feel. Let's see.

Herman22
His title is head coach. Implementing a different structure. I look forward to seeing Villa play his style of football! And JT getting the defense sorted!

Hanky
As long as he gets on the training ground and coaches them so they look like some semblance of a football team I’ll be happy.

AshVilla
I really want him to succeed as he's a villa man. Will be interesting to see what the rest of his coaching setup is, it surely just can't be him and JT. Time to raid Brentford.
