Self isolation during pre season due to wife’s covid Jt leaving rok leaving Pre season injuries to Targett, Watkins, Buendia Subsequent injuries to Bailey and Mings (now Konsa) Possible Covid to McGinn and Ramsey. I am absolutely fine with being mid table going into the international break. I don't see how anyone can judge Smith at this stage of the season. We have been absolutely nowhere near full strength in any of the 3 games so far. Mings, McGinn, Ramsey, Bailey, Sanson, Traore, Watkins, Trezeguet, Luiz all missing at least 1 game so far. That's absolutely ridiculous. We've just had to play a 36 year old winger and a 17 year old in centre mid and still not lost the game. Watford and Brentford aren’t “two Championship sides”, they’re two Premier League sides and both have a decent chance of staying up. If you don’t give Smith benefit of the doubt when half the squad is out (through no fault of anyone’s - just bad luck) then you aren’t arguing in good faith and have a vendetta. My prediction at start of season was that we would have a shaky start and then go on a run of wins as the team settles. If we can pick up points here and there for next month or so, I can see us ending very strongly.
