WooJung
I feel he was already planning to drop Barkley against leicester, but with Jack's injury he was afraid to change too much too quickly. I'm happy he's finally reacting to things not working, hopefully this is for the best. On paper it doesn't really look like our best 11, I'm not overly confident about this game

Top 7, bottom 7, middle 6 thus 8th to 13th is mid table.
AV82
Mud in the face to those who said Smith was spineless if we get spanked 6-0 now boys.

Indigo
Hope all of you Bielsa disciples will be able to handle this OK. Can't be easy to have a "clueless muppet" tactically outdo your boy. 1
dudevillaisnice
Right changes, great win. Barkley will have to work his way back to the lineup.

Enda
Very happy with the win, very happy with changing the midfield. I’ll stay quiet about Dean Smith and substitutions
Adam2003
Been reading all week on here that “Bielsa is a better coach” but Smith has done him tactically today. Very comfortable. Very pleased for him.
Panto_Villan
So glad Dean decided to mix up the midfield today, and really glad we got the result too!
penguin
Out-Maneuverered the “legendary” Bielsa completely. Not the prettiest game but we did what we needed to do.
DCJonah
Wonder if we can calm down now. We had someone saying they couldn't see where our next win was coming from in the week. 1
VillaChris
Wasn't happy with starting 11 last week but called it spot on today and first half best we've played for weeks. Gives us flexibility to rotate again midweek if needs be.
Dave-R
Smith done Bielsa today no joke. Proved he has a team that can play without Grealish if it comes to that, top day for Villa and so glad bamford didn't score. Thanks so much Smith. Keyblade
Hes one of the few managers who seems to learn from his defeats and actually enacts gameplans to rectify them. Bielsa's Leeds slapped us around 3 games in a row, and he made sure that didn't happen again. Same thing against Southampton who also seemed to have our number.
