The two are not as related as you seem to think. People say we simply don't have the quality, and to an extent I would agree with that, but that doesn't mean we have to be as abject as we have been for a lot of the season. We don't even put up much of a fight a lot of the time.

Its how a lot of relegation fighting teams play. Its why they're down there.

Simply a silly comment.  From how much we spent to understanding where we have come from which was the playoff winner of the Championship.  My ambition is obviously not here in the relegation zone, it’s competing at the up end of the table but this doesn’t change overnight.  Some on here have unrealistic expectations on growth, we aren’t playing football manager on the computer.

I am not talking about how much the owners have put in, grateful for that.....I am talking about the the football people.

there is no drive and determination, no leadership and organisation.

sorry Nick, I think you over estimate expectations.

This team rarely press or go after teams, they are a passive team.....that comes from those in charge.....fair enough, they haven't got the players to, their fault again,

you say it doesn't change over night, but it does gradually change and we should be able to see the subtle improvements......but that is not the case, we have gradually got worse.

that is not a good sign.....I have seen this before, under different managers.

A lot don't know. The fact that we're very often undone by extremely stupid mistakes rather than by good play is a perfect example of this.

You don't think Norwich, Bournemouth, West ham and Watford are the same?

I haven't watched enough of them to judge. But I do know that what Smith has had us playing hasn't been anywhere near good enough a lot of the time.

Seeing lots of tweets about the TV cameras picking up that Smith was having to explain his tactics to Purslow in the tunnel.

I did see that. I hope it was just interest from Purslow.

Again, every team down there would say the same. We are not special.

They go hand in hand.

So he's gone for the formation everyone was asking for, no difference.

I'm sorry, Smith may have weaknesses but the upshot is the players we have bought are just not good enough.

Our dead ball specialists are awful, so may free kicks due to Jack, free kick after free kick woeful.  Corners woeful.

Midfielders unable to pick passes.   So little creativity.

Strikers unable to score even when presented with opportunities.

Defence leaks like a sieve.

Pretty much every signing has been disappointing for me.

But the thing that drives me nuts most of all is the constant, stupid unnecessary fouls.  We just keep doing this, it's madenning.

Maybe Smith should be able to improve these but for me the players just don't look anything like good enough. I'm not sure any manager could make these players good enough for the task.
