Defended superbly when Arsenal had the ball but we counted strongly and had a fair few chances ourselves when we got up the pitch. Not a single shot on target from Arsenal. With our squad and injuries to key players, I think sitting 17th with a game left is a credit to Dean Smith. He's kept his cool, he's identified and fixed weaknesses and players are starting to grow. All this shit about players getting worse. Well guilbert, konza, luiz, trez certainly don't look worse. I hope he gets us over the finish line. All those late goals conceded and the repeated reminders of near misses earlier on in the season. With two games to go you pull off a deserved victory in a massive game like that. I’ve never wanted us to win a game as much as on Sunday purely for the amount of crap that smith has taken from Villa fans before today. Do we have the squad to survive in the Premier League? Probably not. Do we have the desire and the tactical set up to keep us up? I don’t doubt it at all.
