I did have lots of doubts - Aston Villa breaks more managers than it makes - I did question whether very limited success at two much smaller clubs was enough to tame the monster that is Aston Villa - I though he would and thought he was crumbling under the pressure. He seems to have come out the other side and I am fully behind him now. Even if we don't go up this year I now think having gone on such a run he now has credibility in the dressing room ( oh err missus !), which I feared he may be lacking in the early stages. TRO Posted April 19, 2019 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Its just such a lovely feeling.....to be wrong. i guess it takes time for players to buy in to a managers idea,s and Dean had some early set backs.....I think Mings and Hause on top of what we already had has also made a big difference.....40 odd thousand every week has also contributed.....The confidence bandwagon is full steam ahead. I guess the wigan and sheff utd reversals, were reasonable enough to have doubts, but hey ho.....that seems well behind us now. No point ,scoring points, just enjoy it. Still had a more than good enough squad to finish inside the top 6 which the squad proved in his first 10 games. We were a bit short in defence but that's what transfer windows are for.
