Exactly, we could potentially be in a position with all these players leaving AND a transfer embargo meaning we cant replace them. If Bruce thinks we are "starting all over again" this year then he's in for a shock next year.

The only Bruce will know about that is he buys a copy of Football Manager ?

That’s why I am thinking we might be ok with ffp next year because the amount in wages we would be sav8ng is significant

I have seen this mentioned a lot, so thoughti would weigh in.

FFP is calculated on a rolling 3 year basis.  Our losses over the last 3 years are approx:

2017/18 20m

2016/17 25m

2015/6 85m

Based on our improved losses in the last 2 seasons, 2018/19 is expected to be lessthan a 20m loss.  That means for FFP next season we will be 65m better off!

I do not think FFP will bemuch of an issue next season as a result.

The thing is we shouldn't be punished if that's the case as we have made significant steps to get it down from the first year. That's w

Also another reason why i think we will be ok

I thought Mitch signed a new deal before going out on loan?

All I can find online is him signing a new deal in March 2018 until the end of 2019. :(

Cracking post. Thanks for doing that. I would argue we will be fine though., even if all of these don't get new contracts which obviously wont be the case. See Bunn and Hutton this summer.  Even when we were screwed we still got them onto new deals. But saying everyone does go, we have a match day squad of this. I would take that this year. Plus we will add new loans next season to replace those we have this year, as we did this year. All fine bar CB, which is the case now really! Most championship squads look like this. We just have a nuts one now as we keep playing trash that doesn't play.

GK Nyland. RB Bree. CB Chester. CB ?  LB Taylor. CM Bjarnason. CM McGinn. CM. Hourihane. RW. Jack. CF Kodjia. LW Green. Subs inc Hogan, Lansbury, Davis, Elmo, RHM, plus kids.

If we go up, we wwill be fine. IF we stay in this league again, we will be fine. AVFC will always be. The players and managers will come and go but the fans remain constant.

I expect a few players to come in next month, but from the looks of this spreadsheet, this summer looks like it's going to demand the massive overhaul we've all wanted to see for years now...

If we don't get promoted this season, I don't see any of our loan signings returning to join us permanently next season.  Besides Moreira, they've all been playing very well and will have interest from Premier League clubs next season.  That leaves us with our two best players (Jack & McGinn) the only ones in the squad on long-term deals and I can see us shifting many of the players in their final year of contract, because they will all have interest from both Championship and Premier League clubs.

Very excited to see what Deano can do with players who will fit his system and we'll see how our Spanish-influenced scouting department will fair.

True, at first glance I have counted nearly 17 players minimum that are barely good enough for us now, let alone the PL.

Could we see that many leave? I actually think we will and maybe one or 2 more.

(This doesn't count the players we have on loan from clubs either).

I reckon Deano will be getting a few of these tied down. I hope Lyden can stay injury free and get some games under his belt. Was a cracking talent before his injuries.

Unfortunately in all his years here I have never once seen this guy start, or even kick a ball for us!

22 now and still not in the first team? I think he could be one for the exit door this summer imo.

Less than one year of Micah left.

Happy thoughts.

With it being advent now it has given me an idea that we should have some kind of Micah leaving countdown.

Surely one of the kidz with their natural computer abilities could knock one up.  Any volunteers?

I'm not sure I qualify as a kid but I had a go...hopefully it works.

I honestly wouldn't be bothered if we let everyone in that 2019 list go, if Smith & Co. don't rate them.  I would like to try to sign Tuanzebe on a permanent, regardless if we get promoted or not, and Tammy if we go up.  The others?  I think our scouting team can find better players to replace them and fit within our budget.  This has to free up ~200k/week in wages to work with next season.

I also like that 3/4 of our long term contracts are for our best players.  The jury is still out on Hogan, though.  I still think he can come good under Smith again, but he's going to find it hard to get time on the pitch, playing behind Tammy at the moment.
