Loan watch 2018/19

Recommended Posts

With 9 players out on loan at the moment, I figured we could do with an 18/19 version of the loan watch thread to keep a handy eye on them all.

Foreign loans
Aaron Tshibola - Kilmarnock (SPL)
Easah Suliman - FC Emmen (Dutch Eredivisie)

Championship
Tommy Elphick - Hull City
Gary Gardner - small heath alliance

League One
Andre Green - Portsmouth
Jed Steer - Charlton Athletic

League Two
Mitchell Clark - Port Vale
Jordan Lyden - Oldham Athletic
Kelsey Mooney - Cheltenham Town

Is Sarkic on loan too?

I don't believe so and haven't heard of any moves.

Loving the small case for the small time club that Gary Gardner is currently with. :D Is Scotland a foreign country now (I thought they had said nae to devolution)? ;)

I think Scotland would definitely tell you that they are not England, yes :)

True, it says Micah Richards is a defender.

Get him back in the team at centre back with Chester and Jedinak in front of them, he’d dominate The Championship and that’ll let the front 6 run riot

Agree 100% on that. Most would probably describe themselves as being Scots rather than British as well. Perhaps we should ask the Scottish Cafu for some guidance on this? :D

You don’t agree BOF?

I disagree in the strongest possible sense :)  I can't think of a defender on our books I'd rather see in the team less, but we're straying OT now.

Experience at the back and the front 4 would dominate

Steve Bruce has plenty of experience at centre back.  Put him in.

New owners seem pretty set on going with younger players so maybe Calderwood would be a better alternative to Bruce at CB.
