I've not watched the game, but that result is totally unacceptable. Shameful in fact.

Promotion candidates don't get spanked 4-1 by middle of the roade Sheffield United.

Shows where we are.

Thereabouts?

Joint second worst defence in the league. Only QPR have conceded more than us.

I am shocked at how badly we defended (again) - we were lucky to keep it below 6

I've never said it before but enough is enough. Bruce Out!!!

Steve Bruce is a nice guy and I also like him for helping us to get a lot of wins in the last two seasons but maybe he needs to retire from football management very soon and look after his health, he really doesn't look well sometimes, including the last few weeks. I've felt concerned for him at times, not just for Aston Villa. I'm wondering if maybe losing both his parents recently might have affected his professional life a bit too much. Replacing John Terry with an other proven specialist centre-back was the priority and it hasn't been achieved, and I agree with the many people on here who've said that will probably cost us a play-off place this season. Today was the first time since we've been back in the Championship that we've conceded more than three goals in a league match.

Yes, him staying on won't be good for him or for anyone else.  It's probably hard for him to recognise that and even harder to act on it, but this is where the owners need to make a decision.

Best moment of the game for me was leaving at 86 minutes and avoiding the queue to get out the car park on Eyre St. would also like to publicly apologise to my 2 sons for subjecting them to a performance like that.

Beginning of the end for Bruce, the fans have turned....

By no means all. In fact I was surprised how limited the anti Bruce chant was.

We looked formless.......although CH coming on improved things, as did putting Kodja on the wing - both of which looked good last week as well. Kodja looks ten times the player once he’s out wide.

Its always interesting watching a game from close to the pitch, compared to the upper Holte.....what stood out for me was how hard it was to spot the lone figure of Kodja in their half of the pitch first half. Their was never another Villa player within 40 metres of him.

Also very noticeable was how when United moved up it was as an 8, or even a 9, whereas too often we were deep.

Chester is suffering from being unsure of his CB, but more so of his GK........there seems no communication whatsoever between GK and back 4.

Mcginn did well enough but tried to be everywhere in order to address our weakness, this meant he was far less effective than previously.

A really poor end to a really poor and frustrating week.
