In order to maximise kit sales over the summer/school holidays, could we release our new kit designs and training gear earlier?  Would love to buy something for the kids or myself before September arrives!

“New sponsor”

we’ve asked and had that wheeled out before, will be interesting how many years we can go with the same kit manufacturer and sponsor, we do change it a lot

Mr Purslow will be speaking to fan groups on Tuesday.

If there's anything you'd like us to try to squeeze into that conversation, let us know here!

can you ask him if any update on the theme park?

He probably won’t be able to answer this question but I’d love to hear some insight on the PPV games - is it what the clubs want? Would they prefer to provide coverage themselves, is it feasible etc etc, any opinion on the £14.95 price from the club and so on

Yeah, I get the possibility of new sponsors or kit manufacturers can delay release, but I see many new kits in June/July and it feels like we’re always late.

And drop AVTV and just go with the clubs YouTube channel

Good call yes you get more peoples details for marketing with AVTV but if you do YouTube right you can get more fans.  Kids are all over YouTube and they are the future.  Have a few adverts/links for our merch and bingo you have sales.

Theme Park = Themed Park = the likes of Bicester Village

Not sure why Tony still gets stick for that because what he was suggesting is completely correct, what can the club do to get people to VP on the non footballing match days, it's a big problem for every football team

Based on my experience in China both resorts world and star city would be reffered to as a theme park

I would hope he mostly got criticised for the idea because he was never going to do it, rather than because the idea of getting people to spend money on the club outside of match days is bad.

I do think there's plenty of reason for a healthy dollop of skepticism that anybody is likely to want to spend their leisure time in Witton for any reason other than watching a game.

The idea of having at hotel there has been floated since maybe pre Lerner, it would be to catch the M6 crowd, much like resorts world and this new outlet village that's being built

The biggest stop to the idea is that there are several alternatives already built so basically all villa Park is good for is conference space

And this is where the true genius of the theme park comes in.

The best will in the world at the moment  I can't see many business people staying in Aston overnight rather than central Birmingham or the nec. Maybe in time the area will be improved as  know Perry Barr has some regeneration projects linked to the Commonwealth Games. You can't escape the fact that as glorious as Aston Hall and Villa Park are, they are set in a area of high deprivation and poverty. The only plus points is that it is near the motorway and has two railways stations  nearby.

The Hotel will mainly be in support of Villa Park as a Conference Centre and an evening Function venue both of which it already is.

They're not going to try and nab a piece of the market for visiting businessmen.

Then again look at the website for the rooms at The Aston Tavern.  It's hard to tell it apart from some boutique hotel specialising in weekends away in The Cotswolds. God only knows who they have stay there.

The rooms actually look really nice, but £225 a night to look out of your window at either an industrial estate or a motorway. I can't imagine a worse place for it

Not much mention of Mr Purslow lately, which is not a bad thing as the board and backroom staff only seem to get a mention when things are going badly.

He deserves a lot of credit for the way he's handled the management of the business of Aston Villa.  He could easily have fired Deano in March but didn't, he's managed the finances shrewdly - including navigating FFP, and the commercial side of the business continues to improve.

As well as that, pretty much every player we've signed must be worth more than we paid for them.  Only Kalinic and maybe Guilbert haven't increased in value.

All in all he's doing an incredible job.

I had serious, serious doubts over his competence and foresight when he gave Dean a new contract towards the start of the last season. Who do I speak to so I can collect my bellend of the year award?

You'll have to wrestle it from me.

I've always thought he was a good CEO, but also felt the new contract was more of a populist move than a smart one.

That's why he earns a lot of money and sits in a big office at Villa Park.
