supermon
He managed to walk off which is always a good sign, Trezeguet made a nice cameo appearance though setting up McGinn

lexicon
He had a poor game today but was up against a bloody good fullback in Mukiele.
mikeyp102
He’s barely played pre season and came up against a physical team. So a hard tackle in him could have more of an impact. Hopefully it won’t be a long injury. Him Trez and Jota will rotate throughout the season
nick76
Have to say I really like him and think he will be a regular this season, I just like the way he plays and i'm impressed how he keeps getting better through calendar year 2019

Yeah as the game got easier as either Leipzig grew tired or eased off to prevent injuries to themselves. El ghazi came off as he was growing back into the game. I hope the injury isn't anything serious and just like a dead leg or a slight strain.

No team no matter which league they are in will be able to sustain that type of pressing for 90 minutes. So When El-Ghazi got the opportunity to run at them he did and I remember one cross which opened them up a treat. Hopefully his injury isn’t serious. A key player for us this season. MaVilla
I think sometimes he's a bit like Forrest Gump, just a bit blinkered and runs. Still like him, just think he doesn't play with his head up enough. If you look at Hassans cameo, Hassan looked a lot more dangerous to me.

Yeah but if you look over the game el ghazi was playing against a lot more energetic team. Trez came on and had a relatively easy time of it. He wasn't worried about being swarmed and was playing against tired legs which sometimes gives you an extra half yard. As @Sulberto21 said el ghazi had a pretty good run and cross right before he got injured.
Sulberto21
I definitely believe Hassan is the more intelligent footballer. There will be times when both have to be playing on the wings.

I can sort of agree with that, what i would say in defence of Anwar however is that last season he was playing Infront of a guy that got a nosebleed as soon as he crossed the halfway line, so he had no choice but to try and do it all himself, and even then we aren't talking about Adama levels of Forrest Gumpery. I'm a big fan and think this season playing Infront of, and around even better players he will shine.
Vive_La_Villa
There was a moment when Target overlapped and El Ghazi did a great bit of skill to tee him up. Looking forward to seeing more of that.

Where we saw Hassan cut inside, beat his man, look up and pick a brilliant pass, El Ghazi can tend to just run run run and run in to a bit of a cul-de-sac, also think Hassan might suit intricate play better, the more i see of El Ghazi i tend to think he's a very old school type of direct winger, than a clever/intricate player. Not negatives, i like him and will always love him for what he did for us last season, im just giving some observations which people may or may not agree with. All fair points, i guess this season we willl need different options. While i think ultimately Smith prefers those clever intricate players, there will be times when a more direct approach is beneficial. I think both guys will have a big impact this season.
