Fair enough. I just think Traore doesn't get involved enough in games.

All IMO of course, but...

McGinn doesn't offer himself as an option for a pass, hence his low touches per game.

I also think Traore not getting involved in games is a little bit of a myth. He was so good in attacking moves when he was actually playing.

thought he was decent tonight. Didn't stand out (in either a good or bad way) and it's not on him that we failed to score. Crucial block right at the end as well

He was fine/average. Nowhere near our worst performer (Watkins). He's better on the left of midfield, than on the right.

I wish he'd stop shooting from distance though. He struck two today when the pass was a better option. He wouldn't have score either with 100 attempts.

He has a cracking shot on him and had every right to shoot considering the three good chances created for our striker earlier in the match had been shat up the wall.

I dunno, mcginn having a good long range shot on him feels like ronaldo being a free kick specialist at this stage

Very much improved yesterday, I am hopeful he continues like this but doubtful that he will.

I really wish he'd stop shooting every time he's outside the box though, he's almost as unlikely to score as Watkins is on a 1 on 1.

Nah, was a waste of a good position. But he loves doing that.

Btw...in his post match, he said we needed to put more crosses in.

I mean, if the shooting from distance and hopeful lofts forward don't confirm his lack of a football brain, that should.

And it wouldn't actually surprise me if Gerrard's instructions include 'getting plenty of crosses in' 🤦‍♂️

It’s in line with the new strategy I suppose, no pretty stuff. Focus on long balls for the striker to chase and pumping crosses into the box. Build-up is so 2021.
