What's very clear is he must have had a Covid-related problem last season. He looks so much sharper, fitter, and faster this season. A real standout player every week, setting a great example to Ramsey, and building a formidable partnership with Dougie.

The problem was lazy Barkley. He's got 2 willing runners in Ramsey and Luiz now.  Can't break that threesome up.

So I agree with you about their quality but I think the amazing thing is you COULD break them up. If Nakamba came in it’d be fine. If Buendia came in it’d be different but it’d work. Then you’ve got Sanson to come back and challenge when he can stay fit, he looked great the other night. Then Carney as a prospect…

It's interesting. I assume with the concussion stuff he hasn't trained much at all this week and he produces outstanding performance today. Some of the runs he was making last 20 minutes were ridiculous.

Perhaps there's something in that. Lighten his training load (as I bet he's one of those who trains like he plays) and he'll be fresher for 90 minute matchday.

Great performance today, he’s been brilliant all season. I wonder whether Grealish leaving has given him a boost, he can now express himself without constantly having to look for Grealish to take the glory. Either way, if he keeps this up for 90% of the season we’ll have our SJM back for good.

The ball to cash (as mentioned) was sublime it deserved a goal. His pressing was tiring to watch. Much much improved this season.

He's cut out the cheap turnovers of possession therefore we look much better all round. Brilliant performance.
