Davkaus
He looked absolutely knackered by half time. Then he somehow just kept **** going.

Popular Post One For The Road
Just heard his post match interview. What a guy. He understands how lucky he is and knows what it means to be a footballer. An absolute gent and a credit to the many great Scots who have graced our famous colours since 1874. Love the guy. Legend.
mikeyp102
First 20 mins he was very good, faded a little first half after that. Second he was immense and really drove the team on. Integral to us getting a result. Back to the McGinn we love

OutByEaster? Posted December 28, 2020 Moderator Share Posted December 28, 2020 That battle in the middle of the park today was brilliant McGinn and Dougie against Kante, Mount and Jorginho was fierce, full on and played with a huge intensity - I thought Doug and Ginnie more than held there own. The way McGinn has changed his game to adjust to a deeper role is a real sign of the quality he has.

I was tearing my hair out when Smith was playing him virtually as a striker for a spell last season. He is now constantly facing the game, driving team forward. He is scoring few goals for Scotland playing further forward but he is so much better for Villa now than he is for Scotland, in my opinion.
lexicon
A proper all-round CM - he's deeper than before and less involved with goals/assists but it suits him so much more. Still can't believe he cost as little as he did.

Means then he can burst from deep, playing higher up requires tighter control and you miss his runs.

villa_shere
Much much improved over Xmas and long May it continue. thought we carried him through lockdown and start of the season and also struggled to find his position but he has now come into his own and been fantastic last few games
