rodders0223
RDL looks decent tbf, the opposition is pants but his touch, movement, body faints and desire to take go to his man and get a ball in. Decent. Edited July 17, 2018 by rodders0223

Farlz
Walsall are terrible but we've played some decent football
Fowlersrs
Good first half, Grealish, Whelan, Hourihane and Delaet the highlights for me
Farlz
Wouldn't mind seeing us try and use a back 3 again, as long as Hutton isn't playing CB.
pintpotvilla
In actual fact when Walsall have the ball they move it around pretty well but they can't contain Villa going forward They did create one good chance but it is all a bit too easy
Keener window-cleaner
I didn't think i'd say it but I quite like this 5-3-2 formation. It seems to suit a lot of players. Square pegs in square holes. Elphik as the central CB, doesn't get exposed for lack of pace as much and can steer the defence. Hutton may be quite good in the left CB position, especially if he continues with his runs upfield with Taylor on the left. De Laet looks well suited to a wing back role, I bet he can play right CB as well. Whelan as the anchor in midfield, Hourihane and Lansbury having freedom to roam forward more than in a 4-4-2. Grealish or whoever will play behind the striker has a free role, and Kodjia can play on his own up front.
Keener window-cleaner
We have quite good movement and some decent passing, haven't seen that in a while!

On another note, to be fair if we can use RDL as a winger and we save money i'm not overly bothered. I didn't realise he actually had pace. You can rewind it if you didn't know Goal 1: 3 mins, Goal 2: 21.30 mins, Goal 3: 37.30 mins Just scroll back the red bar at the bottom of the video to any point in time
Newry_Villan
Good first half. Kept the ball well, played it around nicely keeping it on the floor. 3-5-2 has worked so far in this game. Haven't seen any "Bruce ball" as some people call it. I think we'd expect changes for second half. More of the same please.

Keyblade
We really need a starting LB. I don't want to start the season with Taylor as our only recognized LB

Czechlad
the formation really suits Hourihane. He gets to push forward more with having 3 centerbacks and 2 center mids behind him as well.

rodders0223
Do not want to see Thor playing on the wing in any capacity again. Far too limited.

Czechlad
Since it is a wingback spot, I thought Thor might work there since he can play defense. He played left back for us before and looked poor there. Would rather see Bree there.
Fowlersrs
The thing that really bugs me with Kodija is he doesnt get involved in play at all, he doesnt get involved in build ups or anthing, meh..
