This is staggering. We are becoming more of an idea and less of a functioning football club. **** hell. We need someone with cash and enthusiasm, and quick.

It's impossible to read that and conclude that 'everything will be alright'. We have no way of paying our debts, and I have to say my own conclusion from that piece is that we will be in administration or being wound up within a month.

Cheers Keith, is there anything you won’t feed to the press?

Also - paying for players in instalments shocker!

Why do you assume keith is the bad guy? Tony could never do anything wrong?

Wow, whenever I feel inexperienced or bad at my job in the future I will remembered that Tony Xia and Keith Wyness once tried to run a football club.

Indeed -both have messed up , both need to go as does Bruce who failed to get the club promoted with a squad far stronger than most in this league .

I note hodgsons tweet that he wants Bruce out too -next few days could be very interesting .

Looks to me like has released this to the Brum Mail.

Quote

Aston Villa will not be going into administration and are confident of solving their cash-flow crisis, sources have told BirminghamLive.

Owner Tony Xia has today received positive news that a loan has been approved. He has managed to source £2m from China and borrowed a further £4m to help cover with the costs in the weeks ahead.

It’s understood that Xia is doing everything possible to keep hold of the club he purchased in 2016 having invested over £150m.

Several leading football finance experts have backed up claims from sources close to the club who are adamant Villa's current crisis will not see them file for administration.

Can any accounts guru's tell me what actually happens in administration - my understanding is:-

1.The administrators control the assets - and sell to pay the creditors - the owner has no say in these sales

2.If someone agrees to buy all the assets then the club can sold for £1 - even against the owners wishes

If that is correct there is going to be one hell of firesale - because Tony could loose everything he has put into the club?  - its more about saving his ass than Aston Villa.

What's your opinion on the sudden mass leak of sensitive financial data from the club and its destabilising effect on Villa and its effect on Villa doing business now and going forwards?

Which data has been leaked? From what I can tell there are very little actual facts about and everybody is speculating

Do we believe the reports that say we're losing £4-5m per month?

That's £48-60m per year that Tony would need to be injecting, which I don't remember seeing on the accounts. Unless it doesn't show up on there because of the way it's staggered.

The wages of every player deemed to be on more than they are worth, leaked yesterday. Installment payment plans for players like McCormack, leaked yesterday. Information on a myriad of loans and financial transactions, leaked yesterday. Meanwhile, the guy who's reputation took a battering 2 days ago, where is he? Sitting solemn, stoic, risen above it all?

So Xia has managed to scramble together some money (in effect, a payday loan) to pay some of the £4.2m tax bill.....great!.....what about the next one? what about repaying this loan?...what about the £11m we owe clubs in transfers due this summer? what about the apparent £42m we still owe creditors?

We've already cashed in transfer fees due to us. We've already cashed in the parachute payment due to us. The monthly supply of cash from China that has clearly been keeping us solvent for months has now has dried up. He is looking to sell property and land the club has accrued over it's 140 odd years of existence.

Have I missed anything?

Just sell the club and do one for christ's sake!

Jareth, you forgot, you're not allowed to blame anyone at Villa unless you add a caveat blaming the owner as well.
