I listen to various football podcasts and they all spend more time discussing the womens football than anything else. Theres so much going on like the U21s championship, Copa America, ACONS but the womens stuff is taking centre stage everywhere. Agree I think its great that women who want to can get into football and cycling for that matter. Its the trying to pass it off as a major televised sporting event that irks me. I think it’s good to promote it as much as possible it while it’s on the up. Especially as England could actually win a World Cup. My 4 year daughters eyes lit up when she saw me watching football the other day and realised it was women playing. It might have inspired her. Edit: then she went back to her iPad. We haven't been 'exciting' in almost a decade. What I do have a problem with is them moaning that it's now difficult to get one, like they are owed something.
