He's got a decent squad who were entrenched in the playoffs and turned them into a complete bunch of losers. Incredible to think that in 6 games we have gained 18 points on Boro. 8

Try asking on the Derby and 'Boro fora, they seem much more amenable to that sort of thing. But I asked nicely. I get the feeling Rotherham away will be a tougher game than people are expecting. They're fighting for their lives now and will have taken confidence from beating forrest. It's definitely not a gimmie anyway.
dudevillaisnice
Yeah Rotherham are fighting for their lives, won’t be easy. Glad it’s in our hands now, that’s all you can ask for at this stage.

HanoiVillan
The next four fixtures look very kind, on paper. Rotherham have just won a match, against a pretty average Forest side, but the week before they conceded six and they aren't in any way good. We'll probably rest some players and the main challenge is likely to be unfamiliarity and complacency. Bristol are a good side, but we're at home and it should be easy to get the players up for that one. Bolton are garbage, and that should be as close to a guaranteed three points as you can get in this division. Millwall are traditionally tough, but at least we're at home. It's pretty unlikely that we'll win all four of the matches, but nine or ten points should really be the target IMO.
OutByEaster? Posted April 7, 2019 Moderator Share Posted April 7, 2019 How many points do you think will be required for a playoff spot? 73 would seem to give you a shout, 74 would I think make you a safe bet. Would 72 be enough?

Would 72 be enough? I think 73 will do it, so three wins and a draw from our next four will probably be enough, particularly if one of the wins is against Bristol. Nigel Posted April 7, 2019 VT Supporter Share Posted April 7, 2019 Lets see how the Baggies react to this loss now they have no proper manager. Should Bristol get anything from them mid-week things could interesting!
