leviramsey Posted May 2, 2008 VT Supporter Share Posted May 2, 2008 Bushmills and Baileys... $2.18 for the requisite nips at the aforesaid packie. I'm rather put out though that this particular establishment only saw fit to carry Bushmills after I had ceased to have my employee discount. Then again, Irish whiskey has only recently recovered from decades of obscurity in the States...
leemond2008
my tipple today will be a few pints of export on my lunch then when i get home a few cans of stella or red stripe and a few cans of scrumpy jacks or strongbow laying off it a bit at the moment though need to save money and ive been hitting it a wee bit too hard
leviramsey Posted June 15, 2008 VT Supporter Share Posted June 15, 2008 Old Rusty's Red Rye Ale... not sure what to say about this one. Not hoppy, but the spice overwhelms the malt. My first rye beer, AFAIK... not sure if I'll try another of this style.
leviramsey Posted June 15, 2008 VT Supporter Share Posted June 15, 2008 I have now moved on to a 6-pack of 330ml bottle of Woodchuck cider. Hmm... the same outfit that makes Woodchuck is also the US importer for the legendary Strongbow... I may have to track a few bottles of that down... mjmooney Posted June 15, 2008 VT Supporter Share Posted June 15, 2008 Mmmmmm, beer. I've just done a ten mile fell race, it's father's day, and I'm going to enjoy some. Really wanted Marston's Old Empire IPA but Morrisons were out of it, so I've settled for some Sheperd Neame Whitstable Bay.

TheSufferingVilla
Did a pretty heavy session on Friday night taking random picks off this pretty extensive menu some fantastic little brews on there. Surprisingly enjoyed the Orkney 'Skull Splitter' but I would advise against the Austrian 'Samichlause' you could power a rocket with that stuff.
