mikeyp102
Moribus trailer is out, whilst not strictly MCU, looks like the Sony universe is starting to link in with the MCU. Michael Keaton is shown at the end and it appears that he is continuing his role from Homecoming as he is in the same prison uniform. Now it may be coincidental and he is a different character, but it’s likely that it is the start of the Sinister Six.

Chindie Posted February 6, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted February 6, 2020 Sam Raimi allegedly in the running for the Dr Strange 2 directors chair. ... I can't imagine he'll get the job. I don't see Raimi's style fitting with the Marvel house look, and his action is so distinctively shot I can't see that working with Marvel's method of getting the action scenes done by second unit. Interesting he's in the running though. Theoretically he's a good fit for a horror tinged movie like this, but I don't see it somehow.

So it’s led people to think TM is someone who was present in the lift, I’m not so sure it’ll be that. As for your guess, hasn’t it been made out she doesn’t know her dad? I think, (just a guess) that Rachel Weiss et al, aren’t her biological family, they are just a group who teamed up (maybe even pretended to be a family) from the Black Widow training. My guess is that I think the film may be run in reverse chronological order, similar in style to Memento

My guess is that I think the film may be run in reverse chronological order, similar in style to Memento I think the shield stomp is a nod to Taskmaster's comic power, being able to copy any actions he sees perfectly, and not much else I reckon. As for the plot, my guess, which I think I put up before... I will be astonished if I'm not bang on with at least some of this, so possibly SPOILERS... Spoiler Thrust of the plot is going to be Natasha going home to end the Red Riom. Taskmaster is going to be multiple people. I'd guess that Red Guardian has been Taskmaster in the past (maybe a nod to the classic look), as well as Red Guardian, perhaps for missions where the Soviet Union wanted to make sure they weren't defiling their propaganda figure. He may wear the current suit in a moment of weakness - put on the suit, stop Natasha, get a reprieve - but ultimately will redeem himself and die in the process. The shield moves are a red herring to point towards him being the villain entirely. Possibly he was also a trainer for the organisation in Natasha's early days. He's tried to defect in the past and has been locked up as a result. Natasha gets him out to help bring down the Widow org. The identity of Taskmaster now is going to be a mystery - who is this threat who can fight all of us better than anyone and use any weapon? Is it still Red Guardian? Is it Belova, the younger Widow? Someone else? It'll turn out to be Weisz, ultimately, working as a double agent pretending to help Natasha while leading her towards an ultimate failure, in a new role as a leading member, who, having been trained like everyone else, can fight as well as them all and with the added edge of the suit giving her a power boost. I wouldn't be at all surprised to have Belova in the suit at some point as well. Either way, Belova will defect in the aftermath and set herself up nicely to be the Avengers next spy lady... I'd stake good money on some of that being bang on.

I think that’s why people are saying it must be someone from the lift as cap hasn’t been seen doing the shield flip so there’d be no way TM could copy it. I don’t buy it but we’ll see. Not sure on Weiss as that’ll be too obvious, but yes likely to be more than one TM. Ross will be behind them, as a new super serum “trial”. And yes agreed will be a new spy avenger
villa4europe
I saw the shield flip more as he can copy any move that any other character can do! Right what instantly recognisable move is there... I still think there will be some sort of exposition piece explaining him properly then it'll be interesting as to how they do it and how much they show it

I still think there will be some sort of exposition piece explaining him properly then it'll be interesting as to how they do it and how much they show it The options with Taskmaster and the shield flip are - he's a pure lift from the comic, he has the power of photographic reflexes and he's seen the Cap move and can do it, either through being someone who has encountered Cap or who has watched footage of him. - he's trained to be able to fight with a variety of styles and skills and it's a cute nod to his actual power. And possibly a red herring to point us towards Red Guardian as the villain, since he's basically a Cap knock off - the Taskmaster suit has some Stark style tech in it that allows the wearer to copy the abilities and skills of various skilled individuals. It's going to be one of, or a combination of, the second 2.

Chindie Posted March 31, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted March 31, 2020 Disney+ has Inhumans on it. Out of pure boredom and morbid curiosity, took a look at the first episode. I hate these characters, bar Black Bolt and Lockjaw, and obviously the series was panned when it came out. Holy shit it's godawful. It clearly doesn't have the budget to do what it needs to do with the material, but worse... The material's shite. The Inhumans have always been a shit X-Men knock off with a completely hokey narrative tacked on (they're not-X-Men who love on the moon with a royal family and a rubbish slave society angle), but this just reveals that all the more starkly. The sets look like someone let the prop department loose in a multistorey car park with the stuff nobody else wanted and the most generic stuff they had, the costumes are sub cosplay standard with no flair or ingenuity to them - Medusa's royal dress is hideous and looks actively bad. And Medusa's hair is laughable, switching between one of the worst wigs in TV history to cheap CGI. Thankfully they shave her head (...lol) before the end of the first episode. Speaking of cheap CGI, having a giant bulldog as a character only exacerbates things. And the plot barely exists. An Inhuman is killed on Earth, one of the royal family, Maximus, an Inhuman without powers, believes they can't ignore the death of one of their people, his brother, Black Bolt, the king, disagrees, Maximus leads a coup. It's rubbish. And the action is laughable. It comes to something when a show is so bad, that when it goes on location to Hawaii, the immediate and only thought you can have is '...Showrunner wanted a holiday'. It's absolutely diabolical. I'm tempted to keep watching just to see if it gets worse. And see how long they can go before just giving in to the fact they have a character with a power so obscenely powerful there's basically nothing they can't resolve in some way quite easily by simply speaking.

I thought they’d said the tv shows weren’t canon Not anymore but technically it was until Marvel Studios took over entirely, which has left the ABC produced stuff in a weird no man's land. Things like Agents of Shield are obviously, obviously set in the same universe, even if it became increasingly irrelevant, so writing them out of the canon is a bit weird. Inhumans is in the same boat, although I've no idea how much crossover there was. I know Agents of Shield got into the Inhumans quagmire eventually Bizarrely they've got the Helstrom series coming out which was in production when they killed the ABC stuff as canon, so **** knows what that's going to end up like.
Dante_Lockhart
I think it was season 6 of AoS where half way through I gave up. Spoiler The one after the space season. Coulson is back but a different universe one who appears to be destroying worlds. Fitz died but then they went to try and find previous time Fitz who was floating somewhere in space. MEH It had a real lull around season 3, picked up again the season after and then just fizzled out. Edited April 3, 2020 by Dante_Lockhart
