It can be twisted either way. Historically when a manager at another club indicates he isn't interested - generally thats the end of it. I am hearing this a lot - admittedly mostly from you - but let’s not forget, Firstly, neither were rookies, Sherwood having managed Spurs for 6 months and Garde having managed Lyon for a couple of years ( with both having held other senior coaching roles beforehand ) - So its not the same thing.......and Secondly, what difference does it make that 2 brief flirtations with relatively inexperienced Managers didn’t work out ? If it were the case that unproven Managers were a dangerous idea nobody would hire them, then, when all the experienced ones die out, there’d be nobody left ! You keep saying this. But it's not remotely the same in any way shape or form is it? Both hired under an absent uninterested owner, with a poor board, and I just cannot understand how you can think garde was even given half a chance, completely shafted by the club, couldn't bring his own team in and wasn't allowed to buy any players. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
