That's pretty close to my choice (except for the Rossiter and Crawford ones).

I'll put in a shout for a real forgotten obscurity - Colin's Sandwich (Mel Smith). Only ran for one series, I thought it deserved better.

In no particular order:

red dwarf

fawlty towers

the young ones

Uncle

blackadder

the fast show

coupling

father ted

the it crowd

Episodes

black books

the inbetweeners

Whilst I thought the office and extras were good, i’ve never been able to take to gervais who I find generally unfunny and now just plays themes of the same character.

Also can’t stand James corden so have never bothered watching Gavin and Stacey.

Porridge is head and shoulders above everything else

Yeah. Good shout. I forgot Porridge and Dad's Army and Only Fools and Horses. Timelessly excellent, all of them.

Fawlty Towers wins. It's pure gold. But there some wonderful stuff in the others.

Porridge is head and shoulders above everything else though there have been some great shows mentioned in the thread.

Anything with Ronnie Barker was pure class :D

MrsVM's done a list of ten

  • Spaced
  • Black Books
  • IT Crowd
  • Absolutely Fabulous
  • Fleabag
  • Green Wing
  • Harry Enfield and Chums
  • Spitting Image
  • Red Dwarf
  • Little Britain

Her honourable mentions for The Mighty Boosh - Bottom - The Vicar of Dibley - Blackadder - Only Fools and Horses - One Foot in the Grave - The Thick of It and No Angels.

She says we are quite obviously a bunch of lads with our Men Behaving Badly's, Vic and Bob's and The Inbetweeners and the thread could do with a female perspective!

Anyway her list is wrong but I typed it out like a good boy.

The Two Ronnies

Brilliant but loses a point for the Ronnie Corbett monologue

Ronnie Barker, absolute genius

Ronnie Corbett absolutely talentless

Ronnie Barker made that show, he could have had any sidekick he wanted and it would have been brilliant. The Corbett monologue was dreadful.

Goodnight Sweetheart, great shout.

Useless information/crap claims to fame department:

We bought our current house off one of the producers of 'Goodnight Sweetheart'.
