Tegis Posted February 17, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 17, 2018 Ester Ledecká winning the super-g. That is on USA hockey Lake Placid levels. She's more of a snowboarder and not even seeded. Her run wasn't even on TV.
sne
Not at all surprising that Anna Haag collapsed during the starting distance at the women's relay. But at least she still has those big sponsor contracts that bring in money to the Swedish Skiing federation so I guess that's why she keeps on getting picked even thou she's utterly useless. Kalla on the second leg fixed that thou. Amazing run by her. Edited February 17, 2018 by sne

andym
Christie's been DQ'd in 4 of 5 of her last Olympic events. At what point do you start looking beyond bad luck? Great result in the women's skeleton though, we've won the Gold 3 Olympics in a row now!
Chindie Posted February 17, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 17, 2018 I think the short track skating just has far too high an element of randomness. She's clearly good at the sport, she's world champion, record holder, etc etc. She just seems to be competing in a stupid sport that has a ludicrous degree of chaos to it. Happy days. 1

Also worth pointing out that she was miles behind in the first race when she crashed, and the current fall was entirely her fault so any sympathy should go to the other racer. AvfcRigo82
News emerging this morning that the Curling athletes representing OAR team have possibly tested positive for a banned substance. If true, that has got to ruin it across the board for them and further tarnish their already damaged name.
