Guess it will be close to 2k,

Will probably have a pay on the day option as well.

Probably looking at 1600-1700. Not a bad following, but thought we'd shift more than that.

I get why people can't be arsed. The north east tests most clubs away followings, let alone for a midweek game. We had 1700 at Newcastle last season for a televised game, and with us doing shit.

Also, we will have taken an average of 5000 to the three games either side of Sunderland. So 1500-2000 for this isnt to be sniffed at.

That will play a factor too. 4600 at Sheffield Wednesday, 6000 at Fulham, and 4800 will be going to Bolton. It's decent enough.

Bit off topic, but on away support in general.

Two stats I'd be fascinated to know by the end of the season (not sure whether they are made available):

1) Average Championship away support versus average Premier League support - My thinking is that now more than ever we have bigger travelling clubs in the championship e.g. Villa, Leeds, Wolves, Sheff W etc, and smaller in the Prem e.g. Swansea, Bournemouth, West Brom, Stoke etc.  Also, with smaller clubs in the Premier League, they are only typically offering small away allocations e.g. Bournemouth, Swansea etc. are now more than 1500 on average. While championship clubs offer 4-5000 e.g. Preston, Sheff W, Fulham, Barnsley, Bolton etc.

2) Total championship away support v total premier league away support. This is slightly unfair given that there are more teams and more games in the Championship, but what a stat that would be! More away fans travelling to Championship games than Premier League games over the course of a season.

Any updates if there will be a cash turnstile available or can collect from away ticket office tonight?

To answer my own question a cash only turnstile will be available for tonight's game at turnstile 71.
