osmark86
could sure, will doubt it very much. More than happy to be proven wrong. Edited December 26, 2017 by osmark86
chips'ngravy
Can't understand why anyone would want Snodgrass in the starting 11. He should be nowhere near it based on recent performances. Have to go 2 up top.

They haven't won every game of course, but i felt they would. I've not felt like that with villa for months.

Fowlersrs
Well well well, elphick finally in, hogan starting with grealish. Defense minded midfield centrally but could be interesting
rodders0223
Would have went with RDL at CB over fat boy but it is an improvement.
theboyangel
We have no pace/agility in the middle of the park. Brentford will breeze past us within a couple of passes. Just hope hogan remembers how to score!
TheAuthority Posted December 26, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted December 26, 2017 (edited) I think Jedi & Whelan in a 4231 is a good idea especially with Terry out. I just wonder if they can play their 2nd 90 mins in 3 days. I would like to know why COH isn't even making the bench. Or McGirdy for that matter - we do have an striker injury crisis FFS Edited December 26, 2017 by TheAuthority
Czechlad
I assume Hourihane needs a rest, and Onomah isn't fully fit? Two defensive mids against Brentford is interesting to say the least.

My team suggestion for the Sheffield game. Hmmmmm!
steven123
I actually quite like the team. Jedi and whelan will allow the front guys to attack

It is down to our front 3 now to do the business and provide the bullets, they certainly have the defensive cover behind them. No excuses.
OutByEaster? Posted December 26, 2017 Moderator Share Posted December 26, 2017 The back four is fine. I'm not sure about Whelan and Jedinak both playing and it leaves Grealish with an awful lot of ground to cover - those two will be ten yards outside our box and Grealish will be covering everything from there to the opposition penalty spot. Still, it might work for us on the break.
OutByEaster? Posted December 26, 2017 Moderator Share Posted December 26, 2017 I've a feeling we're going to finish comfortably second in the possession stats.:)
NurembergVillan Posted December 26, 2017 Moderator Share Posted December 26, 2017 I think that's a pretty handy line up for this game, and Whelan with Jedi gives more freedom to the wide players and Grealish. The subs bench seems to be missing a young striker and possibly Lansbury. Wonder if the rumours are true that he's off in January? I've backed Brentford to win by 2 goals, so that might make the difference in seeing us get 3 points.
