(from past experiences of being on the lash the night before).. Add to that a large bowl of weetabix, a banana, 2 McBacon rolls & a still Fanta at around 8am and your fellow colleagues will be loving you by 10am! Seat68
Yesterday courtesy of the contractors my wife contracts, 1 bottle of grants, 1 bottle of tequila, 1 bottle of bacardi and a bottle of aberlour.
chrisp65
yeah...I've now got viagra on the search history on the office laptop - which I've only realised now I'm in the office and it's also on the office computer as they are linked... I'll just say it was Damian Green.
Xann
This year's grog discovery. Champagne style sparkling wine originated in Limoux. Bought a £14 bottle of Limoux that's as drinkable as a £40 bottle of Champers. Pleasant Champagne is expensive (personally I'd rather chuck money at nice cocktail ingredients), but guests that partake are unlikely to gag on a decent Limoux. I personally think it's the most over rated drink on the planet. I don't see the fuss about champagne, I'd much rather have a nice bottle of wine or a nice spirit. I think all champagne is basically over priced crap

It does get much better when the money gets silly. 9 minutes ago, bannedfromHandV said: It's like caviar, it's a status thing. Validates ones own opinions of oneself, n all that crap. Fishy jelly is fishy jelly, whether it's Beluga or lumpfish. Would argue improvement in Champagne when you spend a stack is greater. Not going to argue with the status point I don't drink wine or Champagne, but the last glass of real bubbly handed to me was a vintage number and it was a zillion miles from Moet. The quality does get better as it gets more expensive but I still thinks it's an over rated drink. I don't think a high end expensive champagne is a a brilliant drinking experience.
Xann
I agree. A half dozen bottles of spirits beats a single bottle of decent Champagne all ends up.
Seat68
What should be the final delivery last night, my wife came home with a bottle of Glenlivet and a bottle of Jack, she can't stand either of them, which is unfortunate.
mjmooney Posted December 22, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted December 22, 2017 Well, that's the meat order picked up (where do mad people do their shopping? Insanesburys). No turkey this year, rib of beef instead.
Risso
I love fizzy wine. Champagne is great but so is Prosecco. I watched a telly programme last night with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley about how they make Champagne, and it was really interesting to be fair. Didn’t realise that they use red wine grapes as well, but then I am a massive pleb.

You must have been on the premium fizzy stuff last night if you thought an episode of Absolutely Fabulous was a documentary about wine making. #howwreckedwereyou? Rugeley Villa
Just done our food shop, utter chaos. Xmas is the only time I go on the food shop with the missus, because I like to make sure we've got plenty in. We don't half do some bickering though
