Eh we were in the bottom 3 and just got battered by Steve Bruces Hull and scored 11 goals in 25 league games playing the shittest football at Villa Park. Lacked physically and some confidence. He got it back sometime after Sherwood was appointed. Both Lambert and Sherwood was shit but @tinker is most right here IMO. He had lost the away fans at the end of the previous season. It was just a matter of time before he went. Which made his new contract after beating Liverpool very bizarre. I think between the 8th of February 2014 to the 10th of February 2015 which was his last game our league record was P 39 W 8, D 9 L 22. Or 33 points over more than a season of games. I've no doubt it was Pardew BS that rubs off over time but it worked. As for Tom Fox. The man was an utter clown. Lost count of how many donkeys got new deals under that muppet.
