Neymar in court against Barça - can then leave for Barça

First, Neymar will win his lawsuit against FC Barcelona.

Then the 27-year-old will take PSG to Fifa to leave the club - for FC Barcelona.

Welcome to modern football.

What is most important to invest in as a professional football player? A good coach, a knowledgeable agent or a grounded tax planner? In Neymar's case, it seems to be a really well-read lawyer.

Sued Barça of 281 million

In 2017, the brass wanted to leave Barcelona for French PSG and succeeded by utilizing a letter in their contract to buy themselves out of the contract for EUR 222 million (SEK 2.4 billion at today's rate). On September 27, Neymar and his old club Barcelona will meet again - but this time in the courtroom.

Neymar has sued Barça with a claim of the equivalent of SEK 281 million, which the 27-year-old considers himself entitled to as a bonus for signing a new contract with the club just months before the transfer to PSG. FC Barcelona has in turn responded by suing the brass of SEK 810 million for breach of contract.

What makes the deal extra delicious is that Barcelona tried to buy Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain as late as a week ago and take him back to Spain. Something that is also claimed to be Neymar's highest wish.

However, it all came down to PSG honoring all of Barcelona's bids - which could also end in a legal dispute.

Can break the PSG agreement

According to Spanish El Mundo Deportivo , Neymar has found a loophole even in the contract with PSG which makes a comeback in Barça possible already next summer. A letter in Fifa's regulations quite rightly gives a player - who is under 27 and who has played in his club for three without having extended his contract - the right to break his agreement with the club.

If the player chooses to take advantage of the opportunity, it will then be up to Fifa to decide how much the club should be compensated with.

Next summer, Neymar has been in PSG for three years and can therefore break the contract within 15 days of the last match of the season. According to El Mundo Deportivo, the brass lawyers, by studying the rules and two pre-litigation cases, have concluded that compensation to PSG will then land at around the equivalent of SEK 1.8 billion.

Contracts, internal emails and spreadsheets that VG has accessed through the document leaks Football Leaks show that Hans Erik Ødegaard secured a personal contract of NOK 30 million - the same day that the son signed for Real Madrid.

The only contradiction in the contract was that he was to be an assistant coach in Real Madrid's children's section, mainly for a team consisting of the club's 11-year-olds.

In some countries, such as England, it is not allowed to pay parents - either directly or indirectly - to secure the signature of underage players. But there are examples of such being bypassed by the clubs giving the parents a work contract.

Earlier, the Danish newspaper Politiken has revealed how Chelsea promised Andreas Christensen's father six million to act as a talent scout at the club - without having any relevant experience whatsoever.

But in Madrid, Hans Erik Ødegaard - who according to VG's sources did not speak Spanish at the time - got far more money.

It happened after another season as auxiliary coach for Mjøndalen in the Obos league, at level two, in Norway.

Just over a year after Ødegaard signed for Real Madrid, Dad Hans Erik's high salary became a theme in several emails between key members of the club.

The interviews were of an accounting nature, but reveal that the Norwegian's salary for being an assistant coach for the club's 11-year-olds was unusual:

"I have checked the costs of the Castilla coaches (the coaches of the reserve team, journals note), and we have a huge difference when it comes to Ødegaard's father. We placed him as coach at Castilla even though he has no function there, so as not to get a false picture of the costs of the other child trainers, who had increased greatly with him, ” wrote one employee of the club to another.

" The cost of Ødegaard's father in 2015/2016 is 957,143 euros (100,000 in salary plus 857,143 euros, which is a proportional part of the three million euro contract bonus, which was divided over the 3.5 years of the contract the player signed in his time" continued he.

An internal overview in Excel, on which VG sits, shows the salaries of employees of Real Madrid, and what a huge difference it is: Other Alevin B trainers earned around 12,000 euros a year.

Auxiliary trainer Hans Erik Ødegaard, on the other hand, stood at € 100,000 a year, or € 957,143 a year if you include the signing bonus and then split it into 3.5 contract years.

By comparison, Zinedine Zidane had an annual salary of 600,000 euros when he coached Real Madrid's reserve team, Castilla.

Psg sign a deal with deliveroo that sees fans able to order food to their seat during games using their app

Wow!

Won't be annoying at all to have tons of people with giant boxes on their backs running around in the stadiums and aisles trying to find the seats of someone who just ordered a bit of Sushi

its something I can see club Wembley introducing, think it can lead to being able to sell stalls to vendors too rather than selling the stadium as a catering package, franchisees might be interested in how it works

the guy in front of you getting a nandos delivered after 20 minutes...
