Looks like being under 30k in attendance which despite being a Tuesday night is still disappointing given where we are in the table and looking to push higher. 27k according to the ticket office. Grasshopper
If Bruce went Bunn Hutton Elphick Richards Bedu Elmo Whelan Jedi Thor Gaby Samba We should still win this S‘land have had 1 win in 17 till now Coleman will do well to get a magic wand out for this one for a point. Time to set a marker but still rest a few SJ Bree/RDL Chester Elphick Taylor Jedi Elmo Lansbury Grealish/O’Hare Adomah Davis It could be suicide to play Elphick but hopefully Jedi can stop them getting that far
TrentVilla Posted November 21, 2017 Moderator Share Posted November 21, 2017 Its a must win pure and simple and for Sunderland its a must not lose, they will come to frustrate, to keep men behind the ball and strangle the game. Coleman will want a point, he will want something to build from and unfortunately we struggle in these sort of games where the opposition let us have the ball because frankly to date we've not been very good at using it. The longer the game goes without us finding a break through the harder it will be, oh how we need an early goal (for us) tonight.
foreveryoung
Hopefully teams come here now knowing they will get a hard game. 2-0 Villa for me no excuses.
AVTuco Posted November 21, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted November 21, 2017 Tougher than it seems. 2-1.
andym
They are shit and cannot defend. They have conceded 2 or more in 11 of their 20 games in all comps this season. If we are serious about promotion we need to stop worrying about a new manager bounce, or worrying that it could be one of those days, and just go out and smash them.

Sunderland will likely come and park 2 buses, just so Coleman can be seen to be stopping the rot. They'll be set up to stop crosses and long balls (to Keinan's head) so we need the lock pickers in midfield instead. Players like Grealish, O'Hare & Hourihane will be vital here. I'd also bring Elmohamady back in at right back after his breather on Saturday. Basically use all the creativity we've got.

Bomvilla7
Must win, and comfortably at that. They are shocking, and are bottom for a reason. We really should be dictating the game from start to finish. Comfortably win please!

Czechlad
Get shots on goal. The goals Sunderland's keeper let in over the weekend were comically bad. Honestly seemed a bit drunk.

TRO
There are NO easy games in this league......some just look easier on paper. any team can find motivation for one game....thats what the term banana skins refer to. this could be one.....its a heads or tails you lose game, our guys need to be motivated to avoid that. I just want a win.

Rugeley Villa
Yeah, I thought the crowds would of been up a bit more since we are doing well. If this was last season the crowds would of been much higher. Sunderland are only bringing 700, so that won't help. Im a bit worried about tonight for some strange reason. Disappointed would be an understatement if we get beat tonight. No excuses.
