Absolutely awful attitude showed by Kevin Durant in the game against France. Committing blatant fouls as soon as he's back on the floor and then mouthing off towards the refs. Popovich having non of it.

France putting up a good fight.

NBA draft tonight, apparently is a rather good crop this year with a few potential future superstars and a wide range of quality players.

Be interesting to see if there are any big trades and moves around the trade, hopefully Charlotte has it figured out and get a bit lucky with who is still on the board.

Looking forward to seeing Cade in a Pistons hat!!!

Woj reporting Westbrook to the Lakers in a deal for Harrell, KCP, Kuzma & a first is being discussed.

Pistons sent Mason Plumlee and their 37 pick to Charlotte for their 57 pick. Guess Detroit wanted more cap space so might be more happening for both clubs.

A welcome break to the ridiculous Jack meltdown, I might make NBA chat my VT diet for the summer!

So pleased for the Pistons to get Cade. Alongside the other young talent they have, they are looking really promising for years to come. Chuffed for you @Hornso!

But, what an absolute win for the Orlando Magic! Picks 5 & 8 got them two really promising players. They deserve some luck I think.

My Nets had a great draft too. Picked up a scorer to take some minutes when one or two of the three superstars are inevitably injured.

Roll on 21/22!

Was worries Lonzo was gonna end up at Charlotte in that trade, not that he's not a good player but having both Ball brothers at the club would have meant too much presence of their odious blowhard father.

Charlotte sending Devonte Graham to the Pelicans for a protected first round pick is bold, not a fan of him but leaves them thin since Malik Monk was released. Got some money to play with so more will happen.

Excited for the Bulls. Ecstatic even. Wonder how the chemistry will fly? Hopefully to a dynasty.

@Brumerican how you feeling about us landing Caruso?

Starting five:

  1. Lonzo
  2. LaVine
  3. DeRozen
  4. Patrick Williams
  5. Vucevic

And we actually have some depth too now. Great we still have Markonnen to compete with Williams and likewise, Coby with Lonzo.

Markkanen’s been traded to the Cavs.

I like the Lonzo & Caruso trades but I fear they MASSIVELY overpaid on DeRozen and Vuce.

They'll be a top offence, but whose defending?

I'm going Bulls for 7th or 8th.

All I know of DeRozan is he is apparently a mid-range specialist, and I've noticed while he's a superstar, is a peripheral figure in the conversation as an MVP or title winner. I also hear for a go-to-man, he's not got the job done when it counts.

That's just what I hear. I'd like to think he can do a Jimmy Butler who was our go-to scorer but inconsequential in terms of title races or MVP accolades. The right moves and development have seen him turn into a leader who has nearly taken teams into a finals series.

If DeRozan can emulate Butler's influence and leadership, we have a very capable side. Vucevic averaging a double-double for a decade, very close to it. LaVine averaging over 30ppg for a stretch of 10 games last season.

Just curiosity here, what makes you say we overpaid for Vucevic and DeRozan?

They'll certainly be better than last season, but I'm kind of wondering why they have gone all in. Sure they'll make the playoffs but I think they'll still have a difficult task making the top 4 in the East. Were they concerned of losing LaVine?

For fans it will be more enjoyable having a winning team, but long term I'm not sure where it gets them. Will be interesting finding out regardless.
