Greece second as it stands. If they hold on to the lead against Cyprus they'll stay second ahead of Bosnia and with Gibraltar to come for them they would have 13 points in the play off table but the only team having played all 8 games which count. Scotland lie bottom of that table level on 11 with Wales and Croatia.

As it stands I think they'll need to beat Sweden 7-0 in the last game. The goals against Luxembourg did the Swedes a lot of good tonight. Their biggest ever win I believe. VILLAMARV
make that 6-0. The Dutch got another before the whistle. 3-1 in the end. Greece win and go second. Still good news for the home nations. A win now guarantees them a place in the play offs.

VILLAMARV
So Costa Rica and Nigeria both qualified yesterday. Egypt could make it today with a win. Last games in groups C, E and F in Europe with 1 more qualifier (Poland or Denmark) and 2 more second place teams including Scotlands fate to be decided along with how many points Northern Ireland will finish with in the all important play off table. UEFA GROUPS A: 1st - France / Sweden - 2nd - France / Sweden / Netherlands France are guaranteed at least a play off place. Sweden and Netherlands face each other in Holland on Tuesday while France play Belarus at home. Sweden sit a point behind France in second and 3 points ahead of Holland going into the last game. They also have a +12 goal difference advantage over Holland. B: 1st - Switzerland / Portugal - Play offs - Switzerland / Portugal Both teams have at least a guaranteed play off spot. They play each other in Portugal on Tuesday. Portugal are currently 3 points behind but with a vastly superior goal difference. Who ever finishes second will be seeded in the play offs. C: 1st - Germany - 2nd - Northern Ireland Northern Ireland need a point to guarantee a play off spot. A loss by one goal would also see them through ahead of Greece on goals scored. Any worse than that and they'll be waiting on other results. D: 1st - Serbia / Wales / ROI - 2nd - Serbia / Wales / ROI The Serbs are guaranteed at least 2nd place. Serbia need a win at home to Georgia to win the group and a draw to guarantee a play off spot. Wales and Ireland play each other in Cardiff with a win guaranteeing either side a place in the play offs. Ireland need a win in Cardiff and Georgia to win in Serbia to finish top. A Wales win and a draw in Serbia would see them top the group. Wales will finish second if they draw but leaves them dependent on results elsewhere for a spot in the play offs. E: 1st - Poland / Denmark - 2nd - Poland / Denmark / Montenegro Poland need a point to qualify automatically but have at least made the play offs. Denmark could finish top if Poland lose to Montenegro and Denmark beat Romania. Montenegro need to beat Poland and hope Denmark lose with a 3 goal swing in goal difference to finish second. A 1-0 win for Montenegro and a 1-0 loss for Denmark would mean it's down to the fair play ratings for both teams. IF that is level, it's FIFA drawing lots. F: 1st - England - 2nd - Scotland / Slovakia / Slovenia Scotland need to win to finish second and guarantee a play off spot. Slovakia need to beat Malta and hope Scotland lose or draw in Slovenia. Slovenia still have a mathematical chance but need to beat Scotland and hope Malta take points off Slovakia. G: 1st - Spain - 2nd - Italy Italy have qualified for a play off place. H: 1st - Belgium - 2nd - Greece / Bosnia Greece need a win against Gibraltar to finish 2nd, which they will surely get. Will 13 points with a +4 goal difference and 9 goals scored be enough in the play off table though? The bar is set. I : 1st - Iceland / Croatia / Ukraine - 2nd - Iceland / Croatia / Ukraine Iceland need to beat Kosovo in their last game to qualify automatically. They are guaranteed at least a play off place now. If they were to somehow only draw then the winner of Ukraine v Croatia would finish top on goal difference pushing Iceland into second. Both teams need a win in that match to make the play offs. A draw in that match leaves Croatia in 2nd place regardless of the Iceland result but dependent on results elsewhere to make the play offs. VillaChris
Wales will be seeded then if they make it. There will be some dangerous floaters though....wouldn't fancy playing Greece or Denmark over two legs. Some talk Italy might end up being un-seeded although don't think that's too likely. Poland or France throw it all out a bit if they blow their leads and finish second in their groups. As it stands Portugal, Wales, Italy and Croatia would be seeded. N.Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Scotland would not. edit: ok as it stands Greece are in but you know what I mean Edited October 8, 2017 by VILLAMARV
VILLAMARV
Although Scotland could be replaced by Greece on that list as it stands as Slovakia would have a worse record than Greece if they stay second. 35 mins for Scotland to find a winner in this one. 1-1 atm.
