Moderator Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted August 26, 2017 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted August 26, 2017 https://rewards.avfc.co.uk/login So, the club has launched the Pride rewards system of points that can be redeemed for a variety of things - it's finally up and running as of yesterday and there's some interesting stuff. The way you earn them seems simple enough, as per the above - to me it seems fair and pretty reasonable. I guess the only thing missing is any sort of link to the money you'd spend in the shop - I'm guessing Under Armour chose not to be involved or that this sort of thing exists outside of their contract, but you ca't earn points by buying kit or training gear or by spending money in the shop which is a little bit of a surprise. However, I like that season ticket holders are rewarded and that those rewards increase the longer you have one. The rewards fall into three categories - those you can straight up buy (Marketplace) - auctions for things and what are basically raffles. The Marketplace has stuff like this: Which again seems a reasonable group of things - I'm not sure what you get for a half time selfie and how it differs from y'know, just taking a selfie - but there you go. I'm sure it'll be made clearer at some point. The Auctions bit has some very lovely stuff - it'll be interesting to see how this works initially - as I'm not sure how anyone would have more than the basic points available first up - so, if you're a season ticket holder of longstanding who also manages to do a couple of the other things that get you points above - you really should consider bidding on one of these early doors I reckon. Finally, the raffle-y bit. Again, some interesting stuff - I'm not sure I'm quite up for waving a flag, but it'd certainly interest some younger fans and I guess that the other stuff either appeals to you or doesn't. What's interesting again is that early on I'm not sure how many people will take part in these raffles - so you might have a reasonable chance of winning if you go all in. I'm not sure how the loading of money onto your card works - or how and where spending on the card will register in terms of points - I'm not sure you can buy your programme on your card, or whether buying a pie and a pint gets you any points, or whether buying an away shirt with your name on the back can be processed on the card or earn you any reward - that bit is still a bit wooly on the website and might fill in a couple of gaps. So, overall, the collection of points seems reasonably fair to me - other than the omission of spending in the shop and at the ground - the rewards on offer are interesting if a little random and the scheme overall seems a reasonable idea. What's missing for me is the bread and butter - being able to convert those points into money off tickets or money in the shop - I'd have expected to be able to do that - but, it's early days for the scheme and I guess we'll see how it develops. What do the rest of you think? *One other thing I'd mention - I can't find the scheme on the appalling Official Site - I got an email with a link and I had to go back to the e-mail to find the rewards site. The Official Site needs a lot of improvement (with matches and petrol preferably) - it's the place online where Villa hide things. 4
Moderator OutByEaster? Posted August 26, 2017 Author Moderator Share Posted August 26, 2017 https://rewards.avfc.co.uk/login Quote Reward Points earned through merchandise and other store purchases will only become eligible for use by the Pride Rewards Member following 30 days after the relevant purchase, whether or not they appear on the Pride Reward Member’s account prior to this date. If this date occurs after the Programme End Date, the Reward Points will not be earned. This is in the T's & C's so I'm guessing that the activation of e-cash (pre-loading the card) will mean that you can earn points spending money in the shop. Although I don't think you can then redeem those points in the shop.

mikeyp102
Thanks OBE. Just registered, it's very simple. For anyone looking it's easiest if you go to the ticketing part of the website. There you can register onto scheme and link the account
VT Supporter chappy Posted August 26, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted August 26, 2017 Not giving me the option at the moment, even when logged in. It says click below to purchase a membership but there are no options below! Will try again in a few days.

mikeyp102
So guessing we still can't add money to the season card yet to make purchases at the ground. It's a good idea in theory, but you'd think they'd have it up and running now.
DevonIsAPlaceOnEarth
Has e-cash function been activated yet? I was quite looking forward to this because it would save bringing my whole wallet to the game.

The Fun Factory
I went to the pre match event at the cornerflag yesterday and it was excellent. I think the club needs to push the scheme more as a lot of fans seem to have no idea it is going. They need a direct link from the AVFC website to the pride rewards site I would suggest. The Fun Factory
I think its 500 points. You get a drink, programme and meal before the match in the cornerflag along with a Villa quiz and a former player(s) turn up for a meet and greet. Yesterday for example they had Des Bremmer and Ken Mcnaught and the week before I think it was Dennis Mortimer. As its basically free its worth a go!

As I shouldn't have been so lazy, I checked the Rewards site and it appears the 500 points is for 'you and a guest' so effectively it's 250 points per person. I might give it a go some game this season.
blunther
I’ve got an online account but I haven’t got a clue how to add my ‘fan ID’ and season ticket to it. I never really use the website for anything. Anyone have any pointers?!

Thankfully after i emailed the rewards teams they recredited my account with 500 points. Also had a email today informing me that they have extra allocation for tomorows event so 1 voucher can be used for 4 people.
