Would be another player who we would have to get rid of if we do get promoted this season which is a bit worrying. I see your point but I don't think it's really possible to build sustainably at this level, you need short term instant impact to get up. To build in a sustainable manner you need time but every year in this league we get left further behind. Words such as 'legend', and 'god' have been bandied about by some stoke fans. So he has good enough for the Premier League 30 out of 38 games last season, but not good enough for us in the Championship this season?
