DevonIsAPlaceOnEarth
Half the reason why Snodgrass is playing well of late. Cracking overlap run tonight. agreed not his best game, but a very solid 7/10 every week

Vive_La_Villa
You could tell he wanted to redeem himself the way he was getting forward. It was an uncharacteristic mistake from him and he made Grealishs goal so no harm done.

OutByEaster? Posted February 3, 2018 Moderator Share Posted February 3, 2018 Never mind the own goal - his fear of Lloyd Dyer today was the worst part of our performance. Our right back couldn't do enough to stay away from their left winger. He's good on the ball and he links up really well with Snodgrass, but I prefer my defenders to be able to defend and have a bit of heart.

I am glad Bruce saw him struggling and put Axel out there who did a better job. I don't think Elmo is a right back if we go up. He is a good player to have as a sub though. Vive_La_Villa
He doesn't slide for some reason which is probably why he is so scared of pace. Reads the game very well though and is generally quite consistent. I wouldn't change the back 4 just yet.
Nigel Posted February 3, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 3, 2018 I like the way we have a more attacking player at right back, we are trying to win as many games as possible.
Demitri_C
I don't understand what in earth he was doing with that own goal. Complete sucide defending. But he has been generally good on the rb position so hopefully this will be a one off
Dr_Pangloss
It was an horrific performance yesterday, but he has been good for the most part this season. I wouldn't ever dream of playing him at right back if we did go up though.

He played as a wing back for a back 5 for Hull.

I wouldnt play him in the Wolves game in a few weeks time
Demitri_C
He has done generally done well at eb. Let's hope this mistake was a one off and hope he doesn't make a silly mistake like that vs blosers
