He can play right back and defensive midfield if required. You are basing your judgment on him from his perfomances at right back, hardly fair. Terry is a legitimate choice that many other managers may also make if the opportunity presented itself. Bruce will stand or fall by his decisions. Yep we definitely need him, or any other defender available on a free really. Funnily enough I suspect if Bruce does sign him then he will find Terry taking over his job by November time. He’s easily a better defensive option for us than all bar Chester (and I think he’d benefit hugely with Terry alongside him). He’s a natural leader and it’s something we’re lacking. My only real reservation would be his wages but if we were prepared to spend £6m on Bryan then the owners clearly don’t think it’s an issue.
