England will still win the group, mostly thanks to Sweden making 2 moronic penalty decisions.

First the Rabona that Pickford saved and then now a conceded penalty in the final seconds against Poland where our CB thought it a smart idea to grab hold of the attackers arm and pull him down for no apparent reason.

Sweden have no one but themselves to blame for potentially missing the knock out stages.

Except possibly this joke of a tournament lay out where the teams in group B and C can play off the results from group A and know what results are needed to finish as best runners up and go through.

UEFA are morons.

So despite having one of the best ref's from Gambia refereeing the game it still got out of hand?

Should have been a few red and yellow cards there. But that probably isn't good advertising for the "beautiful game"

Imagine what a farce the ref's will be in the Qatar WC when the home nation inexplicitly will be rewarded everything they need to advance by a ref from the Seychelles or El Salvador.

I'm a fan of VAR but that was a total mess tonight.

First problem is contary to what the commentators think it seems the video refs just watch the same feed as the viewer so they're a  bit stuck if TV takes two minutes to show a replay.

It should not be referred for a free kick outside the area. If there's a mass brawl then let the ref deal with what he sees and if he misses anything do as currently happens and suspend players after the match for future games, not ideal as there's a danger a culprit might score a winning goal but that was a farce.

Chile are so entertaining to watch, if had a proper No.9 they be a more clinical team

amazing Beausejour still plays a key role, he was quite poor in Premier League

Vargas is one of those average at club level but magnificent at international level strikers. Bit like David Healy back in the day.

Seems the probable Linfield-Celtic match will be played on Friday the 14th now and Celtic look set to turn down their ticket allocation and advise fans not to travel.

Video ref changing a correct yellow card to a red in the Germany-Cameroon game,  then goes on to give the red card to the wrong player...

This video ref thing is becoming a farce.

What about penalties that are given but the player dives and cons the ref?

That's possibly the only time I'd use it.

Not even sure about offside.

not just clever play but you can watch a tackle 10 times or so and not be 100 percent convinced. Smolov the other day was clear example. pundits gave 1 each to a penalty or no penalty. While was contact after he slipped the video replay didnt give it
