StefanAVFC
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/23/homeless-man-speaks-cradled-dying-woman-arms-manchester-attack/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Quote A rough sleeper has tearfully described the moment a woman died in his arms from the explosion set off as fans left the Manchester Arena. At the time of the blast Chris Parker, 33, was in the foyer area of the venue where he regularly goes to beg for money as concert crowds head home. He recalled: "Everyone was piling out, all happy and everything else. As people were coming out of the glass doors I heard a bang and within a split second I saw a white flash, then smoke and then I heard screaming. "It knocked me to the floor and then I got up and instead of running away my gut instinct was to run back and try and help. "There was people lying on the floor everywhere. "I saw a little girl ... she had no legs. I wrapped her in one of the merchandise T-shirts and I said 'where is your mum and daddy?' She said 'my dad is at work, my mum is up there'." He said he thought the child's mother had died from her injuries. Mr Parker, who has slept rough in the city for about a year, said he also tended to a woman aged in her 60s who was badly hurt from the bombing with serious leg and head injuries. He said: "She passed away in my arms. She was in her 60s and said she had been with her family. "I haven't stopped crying. "The most shocking part of it is that it was a kids' concert. "There were nuts and bolts all over the floor. People had holes in their back. "It's the screams I can't get over and the smell ... I don't like to say it but it smelled like burning flesh. "I don't think anything has sunk in yet. It's just shock." Just **** awful.

Not really, if they are actively looking for people then keeping a tight hold on what does go into the public domain is important and sensible. Last night most of info being made public (numbers of casualties, suicide bomber etc) was coming from US outlets, meaning US agencies were leaking briefings from UK authorities straight to US media even though UK media weren't being briefed. Poor form from our US partners, guess they are taking a lead from their boss just now.
mykeyb
As a parent with a daughter I feel a little bit broken today, how any faith can justify taking the lives of young people with minds about as open and honest as you could find is beyond comprehension. My thoughts are with everyone who has been caught up in this and hope that the injured recover from their physical and mental scars.
Popular Post lapal_fan
I just feel angry. Those helpless people. Out with their families and loved ones, trying to have a good time. Treating themselves to a night out which would have cost quite a bit you'd imagine. Probably excited to go to work and school the next day to tell their friends etc. All those hopes and dreams and the hours, days and years of protecting them from various dangers from inanimate objects to strangers and other environmental hazards. And in the blink of an eye, there isn't anymore future for any of them. The people close to retirement, the working age living their lives and bringing up their kids.. and the kids just wanting to have the opportunity to grow up and have careers and do fun things like holidays with their mates, buying houses and cars and **** jojobo hair bands. And the families who will be angry, upset and "what if'ing".. I bet half of them bought the tickets. And they are left to reflect that they'll never see those people again after last night. The wasted potential. The waste of life. The waste of everything. I hope we never learn of the person responsible, I don't want to see a picture of them, I don't want to know their name I want them to have wasted their time. With a pointless mass murder, with them themselves gone and completely forgotten about. I just feel angry.
