villa4europe
you missed my point, liverpool have say £80m to spend this season, they play 4-2-3-1 in the 3 at the moment they have mane, coutinho, lallana, firmino and wijnaldum, their main signing for this summer doesnt need to be another for that position especially when they have origi as their main striker, milner at LB and had to play lucas at CB last season liverpool have far more pressing issues that an attacking midfielder
VillaChris
I wonder if they might try Salah out as a false 9, similar job to Firmino. I too thought he deserved more of a chance at Chelsea. Are Liverpool ever going to sign a decent keeper or will they go into yet another season thinking Mingolet is good enough. They give away so many cheap goals from set pieces every season with him in there.

They are in a tough place ref keepers though, there are not many 'top notch' goal keepers around, and then of them how many are actually gettable? You can easily bring someone in and go backwards. I'd prioritise else where.
dudevillaisnice
Klopp has already said he isn't after a new keeper when he was pressed to speak on the Joe Hart rumours. My guess is he will go with Karius in pre season to see if he has improved if not Mignolet will play next season as number one.

So I think it's more like 4.5 players for 3 roles, which is sensible enough when you consider they're in Europe as well. That's not to say you're wrong about everything else they need though, because you aren't. They've a lot of holes to fill.

BOF Posted June 6, 2017 Moderator Share Posted June 6, 2017 Southampton to report Liverpool over approach Quote Virgil van Dijk: Southampton to report Liverpool over approach Southampton will report Liverpool to the Premier League over an illegal approach for centre-back Virgil van Dijk, reports BBC Radio Solent. The 25-year-old reportedly wants to move to Anfield if he leaves St Mary's. The £50m-rated Netherlands defender signed a new six-year contract last year, having joined Southampton from Celtic for £13m in September 2015. Liverpool refused to comment on renewed speculation linking them with Van Dijk on Monday.

Van djik's a decent player but shows the continued madness of buying from within the premier league. Saints fan on the radio also said he's the best CB he's ever seen. Probably not saying much but they had Toby Alderwield playing for them the other season who imo is the best in the league. I've mentioned him before but Glik for Poland was one of the best defenders at the euros last summer and Monaco picked him up from Torino for around 10m and decent wages. A prem club wants him now and its probably 40m.

rodders0223
Quote Everton's Romelu Lukaku has decided where he wants to play next season. The 24-year-old striker, who scored 25 Premier League goals last season, turned down the most lucrative contract offer in Everton's history in March. "I don't want to stay at the same level. I want to improve and I know where I want to do that," Belgian Lukaku said on Monday. "We are now talking to the club. I know what's happening, but I will leave the talks to my agent." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40170131 That is nice of him.

Lukaku joined Chelsea in August 2011 which would mean Villas-Boas bought him, or it was lined up by the club and Ancelotti before he was sacked in June. He was sold in 2014 so Mourinho did sell him.
