Not quite getting the Leeds love in as much as others. They've had a VERY fortunate fixture list thus far. They go to Cardiff and Wednesday next 2. Much better barometer of where they are, in my opinion. I also think 1 or 2 of their players are luxury like and may struggle during the long winter.

You could say same about our set of fixtures barring boro, reading and Cardiff we have not really played anyone decent. We haven't played wolves, Leeds any of the Sheffield clubs or Fulham yet

Getting play offs would not be a failure but it would be the bare minimum really to keep Bruce in the job. I think we need a few more wins next week to get really excited about the p word.

Play-off loss would be a massive failure though with his budget, squad and promotion specialist reputation anything but top 2 is failure

Couldn't agree more. I can't believe how low our standards have dropped under Bruce. We have the most expensively assembled squad in Championship history and people think scrapping into the play-offs should be viewed as successful. Bloody hell.

The next 2 games against Burton (A) & Bolton (H) I think will tell us where we are. Win both those comfortably and we will be back in the mix.

They are games that we would have struggled & drawn last year so hoping to see a marked improvement & continue our good run of form.

AFCON has been moved to the summer hasn't it or does that no kick in for a while?

May have this wrong but my understanding is AFCON has been moved to summer months starting 2017.

If correct that is one shroud that gloomy Villatalkers can cast off! :)

We need to go into those playing, and acting like billy big bollox.

A mistake we always make is giving teams too much respect, they do the same with us to start with, but once they realise we are they for the taking they take the piss..

We finished 13th last season so a top 6 finish would be a great improvement. To get top 2 you need to be be winning consistently and to do that you need to be putting teams under far more pressure than we do. Especially at home.

100%. We have a squad that the majority of this league could only dream of, going defensive against the likes of Burton isn't acceptable.

Banana skins are not a myth, they are reality.

We need to go into this game with confidence and swagger.....but total concentration and respect for the opposition, this team are not a bad footballing side.

There are NO easy games in this league, teams may not be technically gifted, but they are physical and robust and have urgency about their play.

You can spend all the money you like but.....Industry, will, desire and effort is intrinsic and it comes inexpensive as standard

Never underestimate your opponent.....that is not the same as being scared of them.

This is our chance to cement our place at the top of end of the table.

2 wins in the next 2 games isn't an unreasonable expectation given the opposition, but its the kind of situation we have blown in the past.

If we can get 6 points, we should be in play off spots by the time the weekend is over, and within a couples of wins of automatic promotion. More than anything else, it will be 4 wins on the bounce and 8 games unbeaten in the league, and I think the rest of the league, especially the other teams at the top will be looking over their shoulders. I also think the level of belief in the players and fans will be sky high.

Regardless of what you think of Bruce, we look much better as team with Davis up top, and we are a different team altogether with Kodjia back. We have a goal threat up front and from 3 midfielders (Snodgrass, Adomah and Hourihane) and it will be very difficult for opposing teams to contain our front 5, even if we aren't playing with the fluency some would expect or hope.

I'm not a big Bruce supporter, but the fans will all be increasingly behind him if the results continue as they are.

Spot on and if we do win the next 2 I want Bruce to come out fighting not towards us but to the league. We want promotion. Let's not shy away from it. Let's reenergise the club.

I wouldn't say that as Bolton appear to be this season's Rotherham, who we beat home and away. In fact we took 10 points from 12 against Burton and Rotherham last season.

Burton game will not be straight forward. They'll be massively up for it. We need to be on top form to walk away with 3 points. However, if we have ambitions of finishing top two we should be winning these type of games. If we do win, I can see us going on a bit of a run, well beyond the Bolton game. A lot hinges on this one for me and I'm sure Brucie knows it.
