adam67
Going to be there with the Mrs in the Wigan end..she's an evertonian but she reacons she can do a 'pie eater' accent if challenged! free tickets so going to take the risk. Every home games is an away for me so as my house is half an hour away from Wigan be nice not to set out mega early. Let's keep the run going another 3 points and no more injuries.
Eastie
0-3 away win - let's take these turkeys and then we have a 2 week break to get some of the injured back.

Xela
Should be 3 points here 2-0 Villa. Kodija to score at least one.
alreadyexists Posted March 12, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted March 12, 2017 I think another win would be amazing, I'm going for 0-2 Villa, Kodjia and Hogan to score.
Mantis
We're away so I just can't see a win. Draw is my prediction.
VillaChris
0-0. Wigan don't concede or score many and we've only beaten Rotherham away this year and we even made hard work of that. The game at VP was very hard fought win. We've generally had a good record there over the years. I went the year McLeish was in charge which was predictably a terrible game, 0-0 and the day Villa fans started to turn big time on him. Incredibly both teams stayed up that season. Popular Post John
Wigan have only beaten us once at their own ground. That was a 3-2 win back in 2006. Of the 9 games we have played at Wigan since then we have won 6 and drawn 3. We have drawn on the last two occasions we have played there (2-2 in 2013 and 0-0 in 2012). All of our league games against Wigan have been in the Premier League other than our 1-0 win at home against them earlier this season. We played them in the League Cup three times before we took them on in the league. We won those games 2-1 (a) in 1982 and 5-0 (h) as well as 3-0 (a) in 1994. I well recall standing on the grassy bank at the away end during that first game in 1982 at Springfield Park as a supporter of the current League Champions and soon to be Champions of Europe! We are currently 12th and 14 points ahead of Wigan who are 23rd in the league. Wigan who lifted the FA Cup as recently as 2013 will be desperate for a win to enhance their survival prospects. I think a 5th win in 6 games that would take us to 51 points would be nice. I'm less sure of the margin of our victory which could be anything between 2-1 as it was back in 1982 and 85-0.
Raver50032
@John - I guess we are due a loss then? That said, we should go into this fixture with some confidence and make a good stab at 5 wins in 6. That would be fantastic. Mesmeric in fact... Sadly, I 'refused' this game as an away as I am down at the O2 Arena at some Star Wars exhibition. Fingers crossed that we make them pay for being at the bottom (ish) of the table, and hope everyone has a safe journey there and back.

mattyg38
Manager sacked. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11682/10800595/manager-warren-joyce-sacked-by-wigan-athletic Quote Warren Joyce has been sacked as Wigan Athletic manager after less than five months in the role. His assistant Graham Barrow has been appointed as the Latics' interim manager on a deal until the end of the season.
Flynnchin84
Their home form isn't great at all, 2 wins in their last 17. However we've only won 3 in our last 17 away... i'm gonna guess 0-0 or 1-1.
