You are quite right. We beat Portsmouth (a) 2-1, Hull (a) 2-1 & Small Heath (h) 1-0 in April 2010.

Runs of wins were more regular back then. We won 4 on the trot in December 2009 beating Hull (h) 3-0, Manchester Utd (a) 1-0, Sunderland (a) 2-0 & Stoke (h) 1-0. We had done the same in August/September 2009 beating Liverpool (a) 3-1, Fulham (h) 2-0, Small Heath (a) 1-0 & Portsmouth (h) 2-0. We added a third in December 2008/January 2009 beating Hull (a) 1-0, WBA (h) 2-1, Sunderland (a) 2-1 & Portsmouth (a) 1-0.

We did trebles for fun in 2008. First we beat Wigan (a) 2-1, Spurs (h) 2-1,& Reading (h) 3-1 in December 2007/January 2008. We then beat Bolton (h) 4-0, Derby (a) 6-0 & Small Heath (h) 5-1 during April. We beat Spurs (a) 2-1, WBA (a) 2-1 & Sunderland (h) 2-1 in September. Finally we beat Everton (a) 3-2, Bolton (h) 4-2 & West Ham (a) 1-0 in December. Happy Days! :)

Out of all of the stats we have achieved over the past few years this has to be the worst one!

Seven years since stringing 3 wins together!

Johnstone

Hutton - Chester - Baker - Taylor

Lansbury - Jedinak - Hourihane

Adomah - Kodjia - Grealish

We will never have a better chance to win 3 league games in a row. If we don't do it here, it'll never happen. Gutted Green will be out for a few games, he'll be a huge miss to the side. He and Adomah offer the quick, direct play which has been really useful for us. Grealish should come in and do fine against Rotherham at least anyway.

Anything less than 3 points tomorrow will be a disaster.

regardless of how indifferent we have been and now we have won 2 on the bounce i expect nothing more than a Villa win.

Although i would not be taking the 4/5 on offer from the bookies, far too skinny that is !!!!

We haven't lost since my GF finally saw AV live at VP (v Derby) So I'm claiming its her fault we are winning.

It's my Birthday today so I have a few wishes

1 - 3pts

2 - Great performance (no Hoofing)

3) No SJ

&

4) No Hutton

As luck would have it I'm working today and have a 5hr drive so I'll even miss the coverage

UTV

VTID

              Bunn

Bree Chester Baker Taylor

               Jedi

      Lansbury Hourihane

Adomah Kodjia Grealish

IMHO our best 11 atm (+ Green, Bacuna & Hogan?)

Johnstone had probably his best game for us so far on Tuesday & Hutton has been one of the best players on the pitch for the past two games.

You can't change a keeper and a defender after 2 clean sheets.

I can't remember the last time I put villa to win on my bet but at 4/5 I'll have to stick them in my acca

I gave that up a long time ago, I've even been known to back our opposition. Much as I don't like doing it, it soothes the pain of losing a little bit.

Wont be doing that today though, we will win! Somehow.

We have won two in a row playing 4-3-3, I just hope Steve Bruce doesnt decide to piss about and give one of his tactical masterclasses by changing it.
