Dont think much has been said yet but it's looking like the sun paid that Sutton GK to eat a pie mid game

What a **** shambles

The whole thing was a joke, manager getting interviewed at the game was playing out, cameras in the dressing room. What an utter disgrace to the integrity of the game. Talk about selling your soul. Cringey.

He has now lost his job after being asked to resign. Also under investigation from the gambling commission & the FA because someone at sunbet thought it would be funny to chuck him a few quid to get some extra publicity and he decided it was easy money.

Doubt he was getting paid loads at sutton anyway but seemed to genuinely love football, even living at the ground 3 days per week to take care of the pitch & the teams using it during the day & now he is just an unemployed fat bloke who will either get a huge fine from the gambling commission or end up doing time for "assisting people to cheat at gambling"

He had his 15 minutes of fame during the week, That should have been enough but being a greedy prick has cost him everything

I feel for the bloke, tbh. He was put in an impossible decision. Eating the pie and not eating the pie were basically the same. There were only two possible outcomes for that bet, and it all hinged on what he decided to do, rather than chance or skill which is the norm for football betting.

If he didn't eat the pie and people who knew him bet against him doing it, he could still be in the shit.

The Scum will laugh and enjoy the publicity, as always. Bastards.

If he took a payout for it, definitely. I'm not sure there's anything to say he did though?

The Sun are culpable here for offering a ridiculous, abusable bet. If his mate told him he put a grand on him not eating a pie, would he be up shit creek if he hadn't eaten one? He's choosing the outcome of the bet either way.

Man. City-Monaco been one of the games of the season so far.

So much good talent in this Monaco team old and young....Gilk, Fabiano, Bakayoko, Lemar and Mbappe. Monaco could probably get 200m for those five alone this summer.

Even Falcao is looking good again.
