not sure what the general manager was expecting from his offensive co-ordinator given the pure lack of talent he provided on the offensive line to be honest. ours just got fired because of that exact reason, or at least it was a major contributing factor.

He has been diabolical for seasons. run, run, pass, punt. We went 3 and out 57% of times in the 1st quarter this year. We didn't score in the 1st quarter in nearly half of our games. Regardless of talent, that is atrocious.

If you have a shit line, call quick passes, Bevell would call:

run for no gain

bubble screen for -2

deep pass and hope Wilson does his magic

Punt

We have also spent the most draft capital on our O line. Ifedi was a first rounder. Pocic was a 2nd rounder. We have pro bowl T Brown. Britt is a 2nd rounder and was a pro bowler last year. The lack of talent excuse is nonsense.

Bevell’s been doomed since the Superbowl. Cable is just the excuse.

Both have been pathetic in their jobs. They have both contributed to wasting years of a generational talent at QB.

Big Blue is close to hiring its next head coach.

The New York Giants are expected to hire Pat Shurmur as the franchise's next head coach, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

With the anticipated hire, Shurmur will be undertaking his second head coaching position in his career. Shurmur previously served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2011-2012, compiling a 9-23 record in that time. He also served as interim head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015 after Chip Kelly was fired, going 1-0 in his lone game.
