New thread, new news!

Jerry Jones unsure how to resolve Tony Romo situation

Quote

Now that we've hit the offseason, the biggest question of the coming spring will begin to ramp up: What will the Dallas Cowboys do with Tony Romo?

During his weekly radio spot on KRLD-AM in Dallas, owner Jerry Jones said he still doesn't know how the Romo situation will unfold.

"The team we have, especially the offensive side, was built for Tony," Jones said, via The Dallas Morning News. "This is what it is. It's a juncture we have to address. I don't know how ultimately we will resolve this and nobody should be alarmed because you don't have all the answers. There are some issues here that you just have to see how the cards are playing. But we'll work to this."

The Cowboys' two options are to trade or to release Romo. The 36-year-old quarterback also might be considering retirement.

Jones said his close relationship with Romo could help make finding common ground on a decision easier.

"The main thing is we will work through it," he said. "We have a sound enough foundation together that on an individual basis, we will get through this."

With the depressing quarterback options on the open market this offseason coupled with plenty of teams needing a signal-caller, Romo's name will be linked to nearly every possible opening. Jones might not be tipping his hand yet, but when it comes to the most intriguing offseason storyline, he holds the cards. Jerry loves holding the cards.

Unsurprisingly Joe Mixon was not invited to the combine . He is easily one of the top 5 RB's in the draft !  Some team is going to get a bargain if he sorts his shit out .

If I'm Cleveland I'd take Garrett at  #1 and and the best DB at #12
