OutByEaster? Posted February 11, 2017 Moderator Share Posted February 11, 2017 Right now I don't want to go back. But, if I have to, I'd like to see this: -----------------------Johnstone----------------------- ------------Chester----Elphick-------Baker---------- Hutton/Bree------------------------------------Amavi ----------------Lanbury-----Bjarnason--------------- -----------------------Grealish------------------------ ---------------Hogan-----------Kodjia---------------
Popular Post theboyangel
No more 5-3-2. we've tried, we've failed badly and cannot see it working as it's deployed negatively and not in an attacking manner. Revert to 4 at the back and play with width. I guess attack the opposition too would help! Obviously not confident. Loss to nil.

Popular Post HanoiVillan
I have to admit, I'm struggling to get motivated. We weren't that bad today, really, and on another day Bjarnason's shoot would have hit the roof of the net not the bar, or Kodjia would have timed his jump better for that volley from Hutton's cross, or whatever. But it really was very very cold, and it's the best part of £50 to go.
rjw63
I wasn't going to listen today but I did, for this game I'm totally ignoring it to see if it makes a difference
The Fun Factory
Unless you are a Barnsley fan or have got a season ticket, you have to be a lunatic to bother to go to this one.

I think the position suits him, I thought he was playing very well against Forest until he made a complete knob of himself. I don't like the idea of Kodjia bursting forward from the half way line with options in front of him, I do like the idea of Grealish bursting forward from the halfway line with options in front of him (and I like Kodjia as an option rather than a playmaker). I think Lansbury is playing very well in the deeper role, I think it suits him and I wouldn't want Jedinak back at this point. I think Bjarnason then gives us some energy and it's a good blend. Hourihane needs a little longer to find the right role for himself and for me should be the one to miss out right now. I think Lansbury's set pieces are good enough to cover for the loss of him there. I like the Lansbury, Bjarnason, Grealish blend, I think it makes us more attacking and give us more imagination - I think we'll score goals that way.

It's not easy to look forward to games at the moment, I'll give you that! I do think though that if we can get an early goal against someone, that bit of confidence could see us win a game reasonably comfortably - it'd be so useful to fluke something early in terms of confidence and letting players settle into a pattern of play.
tonyh29
I'm up for this one , was either that or have to take Mrsh29 out for valentines dinner so an easy choice really I'm expecting another tinker from Bruce and another inept performance anything else will be a bonus

theboyangel
Have a feeling neither bree or jedinak will be fit in time for this match. i still think we need to revert back to a back four and change keeper too. I would go for: ...................Bunn hutton.chester.baker.Taylor lansbury.bjarnesson.hourihane ......adomah.hogan.kodjia
